well its been only a week. i think it usually takes more than a week to go from UCR1 to UCR2
Does it explicitly show UCR2? Or does it state "UCR" with a status date change?
I was UCR around Nov 5. The current status date changed to 11/15.
Does that mean I'm UCR2?

Yes, people are just referring to the status date being updated. It might indicate that a second person is reviewing your app, but there is no actual meaning associated with UCR1 and UCR2 like with Harvard's JS1 and JS2. I don't think you should pay too much attention to the "UCR 2" shorthand.

Also, apparently every application is reviewed by two different admissions officers anyway. So all our apps will be reviewed twice whether or not your date changes on the status checker.

I'm not forcing you to believe me. Just letting anyone know who's curious.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm fine with believing this without any evidence.

Out of curiosity, have any ED people had more than two total UCR updates (i.e. UCR 1 and UCR 2)?

I've been stuck at "received and processing" for over three weeks now. How long is too long?

If you are ED I might look into that with a quick phone call tomorrow...regardless, you're probably fine since they don't have to make a decision until the end of December.

I don't think you get more than two. My 2nd UCR was back on 11/15.

Thanks for the replies. I guess it's the normal turnaround rate. Everything has just moved forward at other schools so I was getting nervous!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
