Tuition Deadlines and Waitlists

Post by hichvichwoh » Fri Aug 03, 2012 12:35 pm

I'm not sure how other schools do it, but Georgetown has a tuition deadline on July 23rd. Does this mean it's impossible to get any of this money back if I get accepted off another waitlist? I'm paying for tuition with loans, which haven't been disbursed yet, so technically I haven't paid for tuition yet. I kinda wanna stay on waitlists but not if it A) Jeopardizes my spot at G-town or B) would cost me a semester's worth of tuition.

Schools have tuition policies. You usually get a percentage back the further onto the year. See this for georgetown: http://www.law.georgetown.edu/finaff/st ... itionInsur

Eta: looks like that link died. Google georgetown law tuition insurance

Ah, looks like it's 100% refund if you back out before orientation. Thanks for the help!
