Two questions: 1) Do we have a "In at Berkeley" thread for admits? 2) Has anyone heard about scholarships from Berkeley yet?

We don't need individual "In at X" threads in the Law School Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists section.... simply go to the "X Class of 2016" thread in the TLS Class of 2016 Forum and post there. (I think the "In at Harvard" thread was made just to spite all of us who didn't get in  )

Here is the one for Berkeley.

Actually I could see merit in a "In at X" thread. If I know I'm attending X, I dont want undecideds muddying that thread up trying to figure out pros and cons while the rest of us try to figure out living arrangement's and stuff. The inverse also applies.

Well theoretically, the "TLS Class of X" section of the forum is supposed to provide what you described. The Berkeley one clearly doesn't so far. Maybe if they would admit more people (*cough*me*cough*) we could get that going.

I'm quite certain 159 means you're a 75%er.

And yes, a 1%er worrying about the application fee is quite laughable. You should learn how to troll better.

I would be HONORED to get to populate that thread.

Yes, but I wouldn't necessarily say that a nearly 0% chance = not worth applying. I thought the same thing at my application to Chicago this cycle, and they proved me wrong. (I lol'ed at your user profile, Ti Malice... in at Yale yet dinged by Chicago, eh? )

Hate those bastards. Seriously, though, I fully deserved the WL from UChi.

And I agree with you that the poster's remote chances don't mean that he/she shouldn't apply. I just wanted to make it clear that LSP is pretty useless and that it in no way gives an accurate prediction of his/her chances.

Congrats to you on Chicago, by the way!

Whoa chill chill everyone. To clarify:

My numbers and my desire to go to berkeley are very real. With that being said, I completely understand that the odds are definitely not in my favor, as such I was being facetious in my predictions and my 1% comment. I was just trying to bring a little levity to what can be a very stressful time for some people and not trying to troll or waste anyone's time. Best of luck to everyone, and I'll see some of you in Cali this August 8)

I have a 159 LSAT & 3.99 GPA. I understand I don't have ideal numbers for Berkeley, but I understand Berkeley to be more concerned with GPA than other top schools are and slightly less concerned with LSAT. With very liberal softs/essays/LORs that cater to Berkeley folk and applications down this year, the question is; do I have a shot? Is it worth the application fee? Already in at Miami & W&M with $$$. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

If you've misused semicolons in your application, it may hurt your chances at acceptance.

Or is that based off your admit date? I was admitted 12/4 and hadn't received anything as of Saturday

I see... that was some very advanced sarcasm. I think it went over everyone's heads.

Last cycle came Jan 26

EDIT: But rejections came Jan. 9, so if you survive the wave of rejects there's a good chance you're committee

It's hotter in Berkeley than it is in SF though. There will be some 70-80s sprinkled in all year round.

not in the 50s all that often. Only at night really. Not sure what part of Northern California you're from.

I would say 60-70s year round in Berkeley.

Hmmm okay. So would you guys say it's warmer year round than it is in New York?
