I know the feeling -- similar thing happened to me the other day with a few calls from a blocked number. Turned out to be Time Warner (another reason I didn't need to hate them). Thanks! Non-URM, applied back in Sept. Honestly no idea when I went complete/UR/etc. Not good about keeping track of those dates. I interpreted it as saying that they admit residents and non-residents at the same frequency, but the non-residents they admit are the ones that aren't likely to attend Berkeley. I don't believe they would actually do that do. I see what you guys mean. It wouldn't surprise me if the number of In-State applicants are a lot closer to the number of out of state applicants than in your example though. If you had terrible numbers, but you live in California and keep hearing about this "holistic" application process, you'd probably go for it? A lot of people that don't live in California would probably be happy with a regional school at in state tuition, but California residents don't really have an equivalent option. In state here is still pretty crippling, so you'd want to get into the best school possible. Stanford sucks.Regulus wrote: Yeah, but I can definitely see what sinfiery is getting at.
