submitted 11/12, went UR 11/21...getting antsy. Does Berkeley ever update the UR date? Or does it always stay the same?

Does anyone know which schools Berkeley is willing to match as far as scholarships go?

Wow, that list is smaller than I remembered, but maybe the list I saw was outdated.

Given employment outcomes, I think they'd be smart to reconsider their footing compared to a school like NW.

I didn't know a structured list like this existed either.

Does anyone know of/have links to anything like this for other T14 schools (or UT)?

It sounds like a lot of people went under review on 11/21. I did as well. That being said, I've also heard that Berkeley is completely unpredictable, so I'm expecting to hear any time from tomorrow to sometime in April.

My thoughts exactly (UR since 11/21).

What does it mean if I haven't got the acceptance phone call so far even though my application went complete in late Oct.? Does it mean I'm out of the game?

From what I've read, with Berkeley, you know nothing until you get a decision. Completely unpredictable.

Based on the user name, he/she might be a URM...which means stats won't matter to most of us

Why are HYS there? They do not offer any merit-based scholarships...

Scholarships are scholarships. If they're going to match, it doesn't matter if it is need/merit/combination

EDIT: They do stipulate that the system is merit-based. Who fucking knows...its HYS

I don't think they update the statuses very often. I went UR 10/26, got a call from the Dean on 11/20 (as I was boarding an airplane), and I'm still UR. And I swear I wasn't dreaming! I think.

When I spoke with the Dean, he said that they were still working on the admitted students website and materials so I think they're just a little slow this year.

Goddamnit, I've been UR since 11/21 too. Anxiety... building.

People complaining about hearing nothing after being under review for only 10 days really need to check LSN and read last year's thread. Better yet, just forget you even applied to Berkeley. It's a slow, painful death that ends in one of the bloodiest bloodbaths imaginable.

Good luck fellow applicants!

Submitted 11/6, Received 11/7, File under review 11/21 and Admitted 12/3

Stats are 172, 3.8.

Good luck to everyone else waiting to hear back!
Out of curiosity, did your status checker change at all before receiving the call? Or did it only change afterwards?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
