still stuck at UR 1/7 as well. no faculty review as of yet. when did you go complete?

We'll i'm ten days after you so maybe i'll last until next round. time will tell.

so is the consensus that early Jan completes stuck at UR are getting dinged in this wave? in other words, should I be bracing myself?

Doubt it. There are plenty of us stuck at way earlier dates.

Doubt this too. My guess for you would be FR 2 in Feb (or ding or admit still)

I think the maybe-maybe ones from FR1 are waitlisted and those who get FR2 are maybes who applied later in the cycle.

I definitely remember that someone went through both FR1 and FR2 to finally get accepted last year.

12/5, But seeing as how I had a new score come out on 1/3, that's probably a more accurate date.

Side note: I'm watching Arrested Development now, on episode 4...not feeling it so far.

Keep at it. season 2 is my favorite, just joke after joke after amazing featherbottom joke.

I just got the Faculty Review Email! I'm actually pretty ecstatic! Berkeley is by far my number one and I was expecting an outright ding! Still probably a long shot, but I'm hoping for some love!

You haven't even scratched the surface, the show builds on itself a ton. Just keep watching and you'll be glad you did. I'm proud of you for making the first step.

Somehow that feels like a low blow. Its probably because I'm just into docudramas at the moment, The Tudors, The Medici, etc. I'll come around.

Isn't the tutors just medieval porn? like true blood style? if so i may need to watch it.

I will say there's too much sex and nudity in it. The story lines are so good that it doesnt need it. I mean the dude had six wives and threw out the catholic church to found The Church of England. Furthermore two of his daughters sat on the throne while his one legitimate son died before he could ascend. If that doesnt intrigue you well, pox, pox, pox.

too much sex and nudity

too much sex and nudity

not a real problem. i'll start watching...think it's on netflix instant. also that one hot guy is the king so  it's gotta be better than Game of Thrones. I got through 5 episodes and lost interest. Maybe I need to try again.

For those of you who were moved to faculty review, did you respond to Dean Tom's email?

I am. As several people on the thread have pointed out to me, UR could also mean we get accepted without faculty review. Passing on some positivity :)

"I admit roughly 550 people through what I call the administrative review process, and the admissions committee (the faculty committee) admits about another 200 or so. So, we end up admitting about 700 to 750 people. The admissions committee also structures a waiting list, and then everyone else is denied, either administratively or by the Committee."

there is still hope! although im expecting a rejection since my numbers arent the best.

why is everyone thinking rejections are coming out tomorrow/friday though? they could be come any time technically right?

I am still UR. Thank you for the positivity. Sometimes when I buy a lottery ticket for a powerball drawing or some other such long shot I like to start to plan what I would do with the money.

Waiting for a decision from Berkeley is reminiscent of that feeling. :)

Edit: Looking over LSN it appears Feb. 16 was the biggest d-day last year (this is more or less consistent with the ding chart from Shadowofjazz). However, Jan. 9th and, to an even greater degree, the 23rd had a large number of dings. Both of those latter days were Mondays.
