Got the email today! 168/3.43, thank you faculty review and your cryptic methods! Been complete since 10/25, thought for sure I'd be a ding!

Seriously, even putting University of California as the header. Worst trolling of the cycle, even worse than the Northwestern Thanksgiving message.danitt wrote:NOW IS NOT THE TIME UC IRVINE!!!!

This was probably already answered, but is there a way to tell if you are specifically under faculty review? Is the status different?

Nothing tells you that you made faculty review. You stay as "complete" for as long as they feel like torturing you. I was complete going on 3 months and just got the email, so I'm guessing they are starting to release their faculty review decisions. Just keep your ear to the ground!ohpobrecito wrote:This was probably already answered, but is there a way to tell if you are specifically under faculty review? Is the status different?

I did and saw conflicting answers. Just like on this page (e.g. the previous two posts)djwjddl wrote:Try searching the thread next time. what makes you think you were accepted vis-a-vis fac review?matthewsean85 wrote:Nothing tells you that you made faculty review. You stay as "complete" for as long as they feel like torturing you. Re: Berkeley c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
Ultimately an educated hunch based on how they seem to do admissions. Dean Tom even said he has his initial presumptive admits that get a quick glance and then the rest enter faculty review. I can't be sure of this and it is entirely conjecture, but with my numbers (slightly above LSAT, way below GPA median), it only seems to make sense.djwjddl wrote:what makes you think you were accepted vis-a-vis fac review?matthewsean85 wrote:Nothing tells you that you made faculty review. No. You were not admitted via the committe review process. You would've received an email if you had been put under committee review. This is how it has been done for past cycles.matthewsean85 wrote: Ultimately an educated hunch based on how they seem to do admissions. Give it a week or so and you'll see people posting on here that they've received an email notifying them that they've gone under committee review.

I shouldn't complain... but the financial aid email from Berkeley right after the admit email is just mean. Started seeing dollar signs until I realized it was just spam.arrggg wrote:Let's not forget the Berkeley financial aid e-mail either.moneyball026 wrote:Seriously, even putting University of California as the header. How pissed would people be ITT if they found out Matthewsean was URM or an Olympic medalist or something?
Anyway I refuse to have any hope. My hope is dead. Gimme my ding.
