Just registered for the October LSAT administration (an hour ago) and will be sitting for the test at Northwestern Law. Won't be getting in unless I score mid 170s and get some WE but taking the test at a T14 school might serve as inspiration and motivation to score higher 8)

Now just praying that I'm in that "8%" that gets admitted so I can get a partial refund for registering for the LSAT haha...

If you can raise your score enough you should straight up just focus on that. I was in a similar position a few years back, didn't get in to any decent school I wanted to attend, so I took time off and improved my score and ended up getting a solid COA at Illinois. Also came just short of having a good chance at NU, but I'm pretty sure it was test days issues I was struggling with. But yeah, it's really amazing what taking time off can do.

Not trying to persuade a fellow waitlist competitor to withdraw or anything, but in all honesty, if you are scoring mid 170s, you should have no problem getting into Northwestern or Chicago, and if you really want to go to Illinois as I know you do, with a 170s, you will most likely have a full ride. So I am not sure how you justify going to Illinois even if you are accepted off waitlist this year when you have a shot at NU and Chicago, or a full ride at Illinois next year.

I'm barely pt-ing in the low 170s right now and on test day, it's normal to expect a 5 point drop. And with my terribad GPA, I shouldn't even be considering any t14. Chicago would toss my application even if I had a 180. :( but such is life and I'm the only one to blame for screwing up two years in undergrad.

Meh, I dont venture to guess how poor is poor, I mean, anything can be overlooked with a stellar LSAT, says the conventional wisdom of TLS. If I had the PT score like you, id be aiming at T14.

Again, if you had my GPA you wouldn't be thinking the same.
I did botch my numbers on my LSN profile by quite a bit if that's what you're basing that statement off of :P
Let's just say that looking at the graph of admitted students for UChicago, even with a 180, I would be rejected.

Any brave soul called the admission office lately? Mainly speaking the actual size of the waitlist and if they filled all 240 seats already?

I call not it!!

I still see no movement on LSN or TLS... I wonder if there were "several" offers that were sent out this week, but just too few to reach these forums? bummer

Me too! Being on the wait-list is harder than having no decision at all.

I know someone who was recently accepted off the UIUC waitlist but decided to attend John Marshall part time (lol wut??). Hopefully their spot goes to who is smart enough to take it.

Does anyone know what's going on at the T14? Have they been drawing from the WL yet? That could be holding up UIUC, I imagine it goes down in a succession ie UChicago pulls off WL, people drop from like Georgetown, Georgetown pulls off WL, and so on until it get to UIUC

Higher ranked schools have been treating WLers about the same as normal from what I've heard, or maybe slightly more generous. FWIW, I think there are still some people in the class deciding whether they're going or not. Maybe not tons, but some.
