ugggh was all over my phone today hoping they would pull from the waitlist soon after the deadline on friday. I hope tomorrow is the day and some of us start getting calls!!!

So was I... I got a call from an unfamiliar number with the 310 area code and got all excited... it was my doctor's office. Yay.

haha that happened to me during the last seat deposit deadline. I was so pissed!! Oh well, I just hope tomorrow is the day!

Believe me I'd post if there were.

I keep looking on here, hopeful for movement...and at the same time relieved that nobody has gotten a call yet. So there's still hope!

I'm sorry, but that just sounds hopelessly optimistic. After all, it could be that UCLA hasn't seen any real movement in its class size, so there won't be any WL acceptances.

Wow, thanks for the reality check. I'm so grateful I have you here for that, bro. I don't know what I'd do without you reminding me that maybe there will be no movement on the waitlist this year after the deposit deadline.

I'm sorry you feel the need to respond with such negativity to my post. My intention was simply to contribute to the discussion, insert a little reality into the situation, and inject a bit of (admittedly somewhat black) humor into our mutual situation. I understand that we all deal with the disappointment of hearing nothing back from UCLA differently, but I think that your post is bordering on cruel and would appreciate it if you would consider your words more carefully before posting them to the Internet. I won't speak further on this issue.

Actually I was told the application pool was 20% smaller this year. Probably due to all the fear of unemployment discussed with prelaw students. And that they would most likely pull more than usual from the waitlist. So be pessimistic if that works for you :] I'll base my hope on that.

For what its worth, they are pulling at least some from the wait list. I got the call a few days ago.
