Ugh, I had totally given up. And now there are more KB/JS1s. I still have not received one. Sigh.

Just got the JS2 call. Apologies if this has been asked before, but do we know how likely it is that we will get HLS housing or campus housing in general? Thanks in advance. And for what it's worth, I will be withdrawing from Columbia so I hope a spot opens up for a TLSer!

If you want on campus housing, you're pretty much going to get it. I called this afternoon and they said that there were over 100 room still available.

Dear Harvard,

I can help you fill one of those +100 vacant rooms. I am a good tenant; I can even send a reference (through LSAC?). I could also attend the lawschool too if you want.

Sincerely,
your secret admirer

Congrats to the 3 newly Harvard-bound. (1 KB1, 1 JS1, and 1 indirect report from real life.)

All this in addition to the 29 admitted in the first wave. What a year.

To recent KB/JS1 folks -- when were your interviews scheduled for? when do you think you'll hear back?

Wow, just had my JS1... really hoping for a positive resonse! Does anyone know if the oft quoted 80% statistic for people getting in after interview applies to waitlisted applicants as well?

Traditionally, I'd consider that a low estimate. The numbers are never perfect, but you're in extremely good shape. You know how if you check the weather sometimes it says the chance of precipitation at the moment is 10%, but it's beautiful and there isn't a cloud in the sky; that's about where you're at.

This is the 4th recorded post-wave JS1.

Did they tell you what time to expect the call?

To withdraw, or not to withdraw?

pro: peace of mind

con: no peace of mind because you'll always think "what if"

I also had my JS1 this morning. Got the email yesterday, was told to expect a call between 9 and 10, the call came at 9:55 and we chatted for about 10 minutes-to me it felt rushed, anyone else feel the same way?

I don't really know what to make of it...she also said that she couldn't give me a definite date when I'd hear. I've heard that they've basically made up their minds before you interview, is that true?

No it didn't feel rushed for me, because I expected it to be like and knew that everyone else's was like that. If anything your conversation was a big longer than usual. I've known them to be around five minutes. Also, I think they have made up their mind that they probably want you, but how many people accept offers from this past wave will influence your decision. I think that is why you weren't really provided with a deifnite date of hearing. However, I think that if they need additional people due to not everyone accepting their WL offer, people dropping out of the class, or they just want more students you and the rest of the people getting interviewed right now would be at the top of the list.

Long story short, you are in good shape. It might just be a longer wait for you. People accepted in my wave (this last wave) have until July 2nd to respond.
