Family issues have illustrated my priorities for me in the stressful discussions my familia and I have had over the weekend, and I'd rather be in the South where I come from. So my Harvard spot will be open, if they didn't over admit with this round.

When we're supposed to be calling for our email addresses on Monday, I will be calling to tell them things have come up and I cannot attend.
Good luck to all.

I hope everything with your family works out, DaPrincesa.

This is the 29th person admitted to Harvard from the waitlist, assuming all JS1s got JS2s.

Does that make us even more pathetic for being the last ones left in this thread? :D

Seriously though. If Harvard had accepted the usual 12-13 people and I hadn't been one of them, that would have been fine. It's Harvard, after all. But when they accept EVERYONE ELSE and not me, it has to make me feel a little inferior :D :D

Has there been any movement for KB1/JS1 -> WL folks? I guess the rejection wave is imminent...

One person who had a pre-WL KB1 reported getting admitted without having to do another KB1.

Rejection waves don't start until late in the summer.

JS and KB are the heads of admissions at Harvard, and they are the ones who interview applicants. So a JS1 or a KB1 refers to the interview, and the JS2 or KB2 refers to the admission call.

And welcome to TLS!

THANKS! I have yet to get a call and by the looks of this thread it seems the huge wave is over. I gotta figure out when to take my name off if I don't hear an answer soon enough.

People in the Stanford thread have called HLS's admits a huge wave. Really? LSN only shows 4 people admitted off Harvard's waitlist. Are TLSers just not updating their LSN profiles?

LSN has 12 people admitted. Also, over 20 have confirmed acceptances in this thread.

What do I do if I have not heard anything yet? I'm on the waitlist, but no interviews and not expecting to get in. Do I write yet another LOCI (I wrote one back in March/April)?
