My Andy email said the 5th which is when they sent out a feeler call yesterday. No USA or anything like that though. I'm nervous that not answering the call made me miss my chance.

Have ya'll checked out the Georgetown Waitlist forum thread from last year's cycle? It pretty much looks like we don't stand a chance. From the timeline of last year, it appears many emails were sent out, continuing to string applicants along with a sliver of hope, only to find out in late July/early August that you officially are NOT accepted. Which they could have told you a lot sooner, and saved you the mental anguish we are all feeling. There are even posts of the email text that was used last year - and even though they change up the wording slightly, the point is basically the same. I hope this isn't too much of a downer - but I figured ya'll might want to know too.

While I want to ride it out, as a practical matter I'm going to have to concede sometime soon. I've been accepted at another school already and am in the midst of trying to find housing with two other people. If we're going to get cheap housing, we need to commit to a place soon. Once I do that, though, there's no way that I'll be able to go to GULC, even if I do get off of the waitlist.

I've just been hoping that GULC would show some movement. Frankly, I'm at the point that I'd be content even if they sent me an email telling me that I've been rejected: I hate hanging in limbo, putting off plans until I know for certain whether or not I still stand a chance of getting a seat at Georgetown.

Got the email.

"The response to our second deposit deadline last week was very strong and we ended up admitting only a very few students. At this point in the season, our class is full. It is still possible that some spaces may open up in the next few weeks. If they do, we will of course be in touch as soon as possible with an update. But, in any event, we expect to be able to provide you with another update by June 25th"

Just got this too. It sucks, but I was terrified I was out of the running. I will definitely be in DC so I will even wait it out until the first day classes. Don't you see how much I love you GULC?!
