SPWL got the same as well: "we would like to continue to consider you as part of a very small group to whom we will turn."

meh.

really? do you? you keep saying this, andy, but you never turn to me.

and i had such high hopes for this relationship...

also--going through last year's WL thread, almost this exact same message was sent out by admissions around this time last year (end of 2nd wk after deposit deadline), and there was virtually no movement until after june 1. but there were offers after that date.
very few reverse splitters tho :(

are people continuing to send LOCIs up until then?

i feel like i've written 734896597 of them.

Any splitters on here? I'm gonna apply to GULC next cycle if I get the score I'm shooting for in June, it'd be nice to hear some motivation 8)

I feel more pessimistic and spurned than ever...maybe we all do. hence the silence.

I guess the bad eco drives everybody back to school, so this year is especially tough for us.

Gongrats!

For fordham, would you live in the dorm or find some place yourself? The rent in Manhattan is driving me crazy.

fwiw, i met current students at the fordham ASD that were paying upwards of $1400/mo WITH roommates... which is insane, but done in the interest of being within walking distance of the school. if you're willing to go farther, even in hell's kitchen, w/roomates, it's much more reasonable. i've been living in mnh for 2 years and never paid above $850/mo.

Thanks for the encouraging info! $850/mo is something I can handle.

I responded to my email from two Friday's ago yesterday, updating them with my current plans and stating my continued interest. Got a very friendly and prompt reply saying they would update my file for further review.

just got another email from Andy, anyone else?

this part seems encouraging, at least!
Our June 1 deposit deadline is still a bit away, and, while I had
hoped to know more by now, it's still too soon to know what spaces
will become available. I do, however, think it is more likely than
not that there will be at least a few openings in the class. It's
getting late in the cycle, so please note that the Committee will
only be interested in offering spaces to those who, if admitted,
would be sure to enroll at Georgetown.

I did NOT get an email this time :(. That can't be a good sign, though I've made it ridiculously clear to them that I'd enroll if offered a spot. You guys got the last email from Andy, right?

i did, yeah. it had some sort of small group specification in it, and that he hoped the next e-mail he sends "would say 'congratulations' ".

+2

Though, in the last email (on May 11th) I made it unambiguously clear that if I was extended an offer I'd accept it.

In any case, I hope that some of us receive some positive news in the near future!

Those who got an email yesterday, did you already make it very clear you would enroll, prior to receiving that email? If not, then the email might be taking stock of folks who weren't clear on that. However if you did already make it very clear, then the email indicates you might expect an offer soon. (I.e. don't expect an offer if you didn't get yesterday's email.)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
