I feel like this had to be soley because you were a late submitter. Oh well Penn's lost. Congrats on Stanford and all your other great acceptances!

ironically, penn is one of the first schools i applied to and none of the other schools have rejected me outright (well, harvard/stanford/columbia haven't. yale still might!). i applied to penn in january, which is def late, but it was well over a month before the (march 1?) deadline. i made my application pretty penn specific, my numbers are near median, and i'm a URM so i feel like something else about my application made them say NO WAY! To put this in context, I applied to Stanford later than I applied to Penn and my application was missing the required UR document for weeks after deadline. Out of curiosity, anyone else in this bunch dinged?

To other people rejected and to those waitlisted: Don't let this decision crush your hopes about other schools. Just bc Penn didn't recognize your awesomeness does not mean that other schools will make the same mistake.

2/17-->3/22-->3/23 ding via email. I only found out about the ding yesterday because I was clearing out my spam email! This means I may have to return to compulsive status checking for my pending apps:-)

I had under committee review 3/12 and updated today 4/4.......was a big time reach so not surprised I haven't heard a word from them!

Hey guys, they don't call it Good Friday for nothing...good luck!

I called yesterday (Complete in Dec, UR 1/17, no movement since) and they said that my app was with the Committee and they're aiming to get out all the decisions by the middle of next week (around April 11).

I don't know if this means all apps that are currently with the Committee or all submitted apps, but I hope this gives a better sense of the timeline for those of you with deadlines.

I apologize if this is a silly question, but I noticed other people posting about talking to schools in order to figure out why they were rejected. Would it be crazy for me to do this with Penn after the cycle is over? I am legitimately curious...
