you're probably with us in the last batch. we're all 17x, though most of us are splitters. you never know; you could be the last guy they admit lol

Shoot! These batches aren't random. I guess that should have been obvious. Well, even if I'm in the lower-stats batch, I'm still convinced that every group of same date UR1-UR2 people will have some acceptances. We'll see...

Haha for all our sakes I hope there are a decent number of slots left.

Has anyone in the 2/17 written an LOCI? I was debating but don't want to seem desperate or annoying. On the other hand, penn is supposedly big on expressing interest (Why Penn, etc.)

What do you guys think?

I did March 3rd and had a friend of mine who attends drop it off.

I'm also 2/17 and was just updated today. I dont think that bodes well for that group as I am a 3.77/165 NON-URM and likely headed for the ding.

I don't know if it is based on numbers because I have not updated and I am not 17x

Well alright then! I am officially resigning all stress, doubt, and anxiety to the heavens! Good luck everyone!

Probably best not to stress until around April 6th. And if you get rejected/waitlisted before then, well, that sucks, but at least it's an answer.

i sent everything with the initial package. didn't think it would be a good idea to send more with the mad rush on their part to finish.
hoping a lot of people who got accepted to higher ranked schools withdraw soon. that should free up some spots lol

I hate my life, still stuck at 2/17, they probably left my application in the trash bin...

Now I just want this cycle to end and PLEASE HAND ME THE REJECTION LETTER

And you're not a splitter, either. There's no rhyme or reason to any of this. I'm bugging out.

And I'm not even a super late applicant (compared with those taking the LSAT in feb)... applied early January with auto-reject numbers. I'm super sure they just threw my application away

Those of us that were 2/17 and then 3/19 are we expecting our decisions to have been made already? Is this the reject pile?

Hope not - then again, large status change waves have been WL/rejections recently across a lot of schools :/ fml

I think we might be in the 'maybe reject' pile, meaning a good number of us will get dinged, a few waitlisted, and a very lucky few get admitted.

Same to you, Mr. Moxy! Yes, I love everything about Penn. I love that their cross-disciplinary programs are so extensive, I love Philly, and I love my girlfriend, who studies in Philly. So, yeah, I like Penn quite a bit!

Well howdy! We ARE twins...it sure makes sense that we're both in the 2/17 --> 3/19 group, doesn't it? And shhh...don't tell anyone - I think we're getting in! Good luck!

What makes you think youre getting in?

Wishful thinking or based on something?

Does your thought process go for the entire batch of 2/17-3/19-ers?

Quite admittedly, it's mostly wishful thinking; I'm a dyed-in-the-wool optimist...think Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead. I'll say that numbers-wise, our group seems to be weaker. And I think we're being evaluated against one another for that reason. I'm guessing that a lower proportion of us will be admitted, but that there will still be some.

Personally, I believe I've made it abundantly clear to Penn that I would attend at the drop of a dime. I've visited twice, spoken face-to-face with Dean Post, written what I consider to be a strong LOCI that I had a friend on the Review drop off in person, and I've been admitted to their Education School. I'm well aware my numbers aren't quite up to snuff, but Penn has a reputation for looking at the whole applicant. I think an older, more experienced individual such as myself would bring some outside perspective and balance to what can be an insular experience sometimes divorced from reality. And not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty darn impressed with myself as a whole person.

The question, of course, is if Penn is as impressed!
