Maybe somebody in the office is stalking TLS and is a giant tease. Or, possibly, that someone is benevolent and managed to get us all full rides, but someone else discovered the anomaly at the last moment and they're hurriedly reviewing the letters.

The Deans have to be like that. It's his job to promote the school. You're never going to get a realistic viewpoint of the school by talking to the Dean. Talk with students and faculty before/during ASW for a better representation.

Glad I wasn't the only one. That chat left me with a weird feeling. Thought it was interesting he used the Socratic Method as a selling point. But, he is the Dean, so hopefully a visit to Chicago/ chatting with students will give me a better understanding.
