You know... An accent from behind the Iron Curtain :D Judging by the number of websites advertising mail-in Russian brides, I figure that's a desirable characteristic :D

I don't think this information cuts off the possibility of such a trend. The "some" to which you refer could be diverse in other ways.

e.g. Cold War accent :D

#desperation

Sorry to break the news, but I think the admissions committee is predominantly, if not all, female...

Just an idea...but those that haven't heard back...is there something in your backgrounds that might make you special? Perhaps they're filing in some last minute "diversity" seats and we're going to get KB1s in a few minutes. :D

I'm a pretty standard applicant -- the only semi-diverse thing I can think if is my undergrad school. I am certain there is no one else from my school they are considering.

Same actually. They're probably busy googling our UGs.

im the same as well- this is the first theory that actually makes sense to me as to why they havent answered me yet

There is a bit of a sub-trend here.

Did anyone other than Geneva report getting a KB1 today?

No. It seems like the two recent KB1s have been URMs. Probably just squaring URM numbers before having to get into the WL.

Seems most people were earlier holds. I haven't even seen any March holds action, though I might be wrong.

Did most of you who have yet to hear back send in an LOCI recently? Maybe that pushed our applications to the end of the decision list automatically.

Anyone else want to at least get some entertainment out of this and speculate as to why we haven't heard back yet? I don't feel cool being the only one...

(Also, most of us are early submitters/early holds, they know our application like the back of their hands at this point.)

This is an interesting thought. I was a mid-Nov submit, early Feb hold, and sent a LOCI on 4/3.

Wow. I'm really surprised that many of us didn't hear anything. I have no idea what that means...

I guess I get to be ridiculously anxious for another day. What fun!

4/4 hold and sent a LOCI they would have received around 4/12. It sounds like I wouldn't have heard back yet anyway, but that LOCI could have pushed me back a little as well.
