I think I remember from reading last year's thread that only a few people got JS1s or JS2s, not enough to put together any kind of trend. Everyone else got waitlisted in the same batch (I think 4/21) or rejected maybe.

Lol... nothing.... yet. Just a JS1 over a week ago and haven't heard anything since. It seems eerily similar to your timeline if I remember correctly.

To be shown as an example, my story needs a happy ending. (Also, not to split hairs, but it wasn't "over" for me, I withdrew the day I got waitlisted)

I think that withdrawing off the waitlist is like dying with dignity.

I went over last year's list on LSN and there were 14 people who got in off the WL, mostly around late April or early May. Don't give up hope...

Given the recent, relative silence on the JS2 front, does anyone want to venture out and say they have moved on to the Hold pile now?

i've always thought that they didn't stop reading the held pile, it too large for them to just ignore it until now...i think that b4 they gave out some js1s they had to compare some people to the held pile in order to determine if they deserved a js1 now, later or never.
Hopefully we get some news soon..but i'm learning not to expect much from Harvard..they seem to always disappoint.

I have a gut feeling that it will still be some amount of time before we hear back from them. I wouldn't put money on them coming back to us in this next week.

Agreed. It is unfortunate, as I was hoping to have a decision from them before the start of April. In all likelihood, I certainly agree with you. Lots of JS2s are finding their way to applicants as well... With every person I see receiving a JSanything and Harvard has yet to get to the Hold Pile, makes me feel bad about my chances. Shiiiii :(

Do you mean recently?

It changes on the day you're held. Mine hasn't changed since, though.

Does it mean that they completed reviewing all non-hold applications?
