I put a self-addressed envelope in an oversized envelope. So long as they can just date stamp it and throw it in the mail I don't think they really care.

Has there been a waitlist wave yet for those held in March? I was held 3/16 and haven't heard anything. If waitlist waves have gone out, I'm assuming that this means that I'll be rejected eventually without being waitlisted?

No waitlist waves have gone out. There will probably be one more round of KB1s and/or KB2s this week, and then waitlists maybe at the end of this week or early next week.

So I mailed off my LOCI last Tuesday that said basically no new updates but here are my fall grades, I still wanna come.

Conveniently I found out today that I won a pretty big award from my school ("Excellence in My Field"). Basically it's given out to one person per year (out of roughly 4400 in my particular college) and comes with a nice check and all.

I realize that plenty of the Harvard class will have this sort of thing so it's not too special, but it kinda changes my app from "hey, I waltzed through school and did nothing but get a 4.0 and party" to "Look I actually did contribute something and a few faculty recognized this."

TL:DR- So my question is do I write another LOCI now and probably just annoy HLS? or should I wait to see my result of the next week or so to update them once I find myself on the WL?

I would wait. Decisions will be coming out in the next week or two, and with your numbers you're going to be WL at worst. That award provides a great basis for a new LOCI after the WL. It would be kind of weird if you sent 2 LOCIs within a week of each other without a change in status.

Hoping it's the URM KB1 wave.

+1 on the "for everyone," but I'm pretty sure we had a big wave of URM acceptances last week or the week before.

Did you inform them of other deadlines? Or is this the first straight waitlist...

Now the question becomes whether it's good to get the WL now, or whether it's a rolling WL and they will continue the KB1/KB2s...

No, I didn't tell them about any deadlines.

Hmm...so is it WL/Ding from here on out, or is there hope for KB1/KB2s?

Oh KB, tell us your ways!

It's probably W/L time from here on out.. but honestly, wtf difference does it make now anyway. I almost feel like I would prefer to know I made it to the W/L since there is another cut betwen holds -> W/L.

Pure speculation btw.

I hope these WLs roll out fast before I start getting my hopes up that I'm in some super late KB/JS 1 pile.
