Re: In at GULC!
I'm not sure I will be there soon enough for the 1:20 classes, but I'll consider checking out one of the 1:55 classes.
I think I missed the mass contact list but still up for some last minute info swapping if anyone else is!

My bad--I misread the schedule. Here are the class times:crumpledq wrote:They're both at 1:20; so is Labor Law and Government Processes (curriculum B). I was also considering Labor Law because it's taught by a DC Circuit judge who is supposed to be great (my spouse took admin law with him). I think I'll end up in International Law, though, since all other things equal, it's the most relevant to my current job and I'd like to get a sense for how it's taught in law school.franklyscarlet wrote:Thinking about going to a class at least... What time are those?crumpledq wrote:Who wants to sit in on International Law or Corporations with me tomorrow afternoon?
Government Processes - 1:20
Corporations - 1:20
International Law - 1:55
Labor Law - 1:55

Bhahaha....I've met no one (who I didn't know before) who's even mentioned TLS. Although...I have loved the subtle references to it by the staff/faculty.

Does anyone know if you can do an externship at GULC? I know there's a program at Cornell where you can do this. I'm trying to decide between GULC, Cornell, Northwestern, and Duke. Anyone who went to the ASW or goes to GULC and faced a similar decision, let's talk!

Yes. They stressed it at ASW very, very heavily. I talked to some 3L who were doing their 2/3/4th externship. Wanting to do public policy, this is what is reallllly pulling me to GULC.Campagnolo wrote:Does anyone know if you can do an externship at GULC? Sah-weet. Thanks! Did anyone go to some kind of financial meeting? I thought tuition-wise GULC is one of the cheapest T14s. An earlier post made me doubt this, though. Thoughts? The tuition page is... murky.luxxe wrote:Yes. They stressed it at ASW very, very heavily. I talked to some 3L who were doing their 2/3/4th externship. Total COA last year was $70,500 (COL was ~$23k) and they expect it to go up 3%.Campagnolo wrote:Sah-weet. Thanks! Did anyone go to some kind of financial meeting? And it increases at 3 - 4% per year. I may or may not have been that person who pointed out that this is above inflation and that the debt is not dischargeable in bankruptcy...I've been reading too many scamblogs.luxxe wrote:Last year it was $46,865.
