Congrats! From what I've noticed people who apply to both Hofstra and St. Johns, Hofstra almost always offers more.Jimbola wrote:Got my scholly info via snail mail. $25k which is more than St. John's gave me and Hofstra is only 20 minutes away from me. Looks like I'm leaning more towards here now.

Thanks. I'll see if I can use it as a bargaining chip with St. John's, but doubling my commute would sway me from going to St. John's either way.NYC KID wrote:Congrats! Yeah, I would try and negotiate with St. Johns. Then turnaround and tell Hofstra. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll budge.Jimbola wrote:Thanks. Off the wait list as of yesterday! What a relief considering the only other school I applied to (CUNY) rejected me. Looking forward to telling my job I'll be leaving this summer! Good luck everyone on the wait list, if you live close sign up for a campus tour. The school told me that it will help your chances of getting off the wait list, did the trick for me

Anyone still not get a status check email? I haven't and I sent my app in like a week ago... or maybe I'm just anxious.

If people have been waitlisted or admitted and are not attending, f__king withdraw immediately. Other people's lives are depending on this sh*t.

Waiting on merit $. Don't assume that my life or any other person's doesn't depend on these decisions as well.suits00 wrote:If people have been waitlisted or admitted and are not attending, f__king withdraw immediately. Other people's lives are depending on this sh*t.

I was mostly referring to the f_ckwads who know they are not going yet get their rocks off by having several acceptances lingering at once.

Like I said, I'm pretty excited!
But now I have the familiar-to-many decision to make: Hofstra or St. John's?
I think it's time to visit!

Don: Have you visited either or both yet? I'd say go wherever you feel most comfortable and you'd like to spend the next three years of your life.DonDrapersAttorney wrote:Torn between here and Quinnipiac. $20k at Hofstra, $30k at Quinnipiac.

I'm visiting Hofstra and going to QU's ASD next weekend. Hoping to have a decision a week after that.

Re: Hofstra Law Class of 2015
let me know what your thoughts are on QU, I've got $10k at Hofstra and $30k at QU...at this point it's kind of a toss up between the two. I am planning on join to the 3/28 ASD at QU and at least visit Hofstra. The real question is whether Hofstra is worth the $35k/year vs $15k/year at QU...I just don't knowDonDrapersAttorney wrote:Torn between here and Quinnipiac. $20k at Hofstra, $30k at Quinnipiac.
