This school is currently being sued for defrauding it's student body. Do not attend.

Yes. If you want crushing debt and unemployment, then go to any of those schools you just posted. Otherwise, choose a different profession.

Re: Hofstra Law Class of 2015
Any student that takes on huge debt in anticipation of huge earnings is living in the past. The economy has changed and “successful” attorneys and law firms should learn the facts Going to law school and passing the bar does not guarantee one a job or $$. The lack of common sense and entitlement to prosperity on some of these comments about this topic is absurd and sad. What is worse is you have the bottom feeder attorneys ready and wiling to sign people up for their class action suit so they can line their pockets as well. You signed the paperwork on the loan knowing what you were getting into. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the law school is trying to sell you a product and will show a little bias to get you to sign on the dotted line. A little due diligence beyond glancing at the pages of a glossy and cheesy application materials is necessary, especially before shelling out 100K or more for life. It is not only the law school grads that end up with huge debt. Look at what is happening in the medical profession. Will medical grads now rise up with class actions?

Re: Hofstra Law Class of 2015
I live in a different part of the country and am not familiar with Hofstra or the reputation of its Law School (no offense intended) but understand that Hofstra has a good location on LI in proximity to NYC.
My question is - why do you perfer Hofstra Law over the other NYC mid level law school such as St.John's, Forfham, CUNY and Brooklyn? Thanks.
Good luck to all.

Re: Hofstra Law Class of 2015
I personally don't prefer Hofstra Law to Fordham and Brooklyn Law. Fordham and Brooklyn are ranked higher in terms of ranking and have better reputations than Hofstra. I applied to these schools as well with the exception of Fordham just because I know my grades are not up to par. I actually went to St. Johns undergrad and I wanted a different scene for law school, the law school is over priced and is in fact ranked 95/100. I am not interested in public interest law so that is why I did not apply to CUNY Law and they are not the most prestigious school. At the end of the day it really doesn't matter where you go what will be will be you know.
