Just got the same offer :\ it's pretty weak, will try to see if I can negotiate itmartorem wrote:In via email just now! Submitted 1/10, complete 1/30 and 2/10, decision rendered 2/15.
Weird scholarship though - 21k for 1L, and then 10k for 2L and 3L if I maintain a 3.2. Did anyone else get a scholarship offer like that?

Re: USF 2011-2012 Applicants
Man, I just happened to check my status, since I was obsessing over boards today. My status is incomplete. I applied around 3/1. I took the fact that they extended the priority deadline by a month as a good sign for my prospects.
I could swear my status was complete when I first checked it after getting a receipt of app email. But, after searching my emails, I don't see a follow up from them saying my file was complete. I received two of those from Pepperdine, once after my application and CAS and another when my Feb LSAT score arrived. I had to retake, after tanking the December LSAT, but didn't cancel my score, so that my apps would go through in time.
I considered USF a bit of a safety school and now I'm afraid I blew it by not being vigilant enough. Though, like I said, I'm pretty sure it WAS complete when I checked shortly after applying. I seem to recall status checking USF and Pepperdine again, after getting a rejection email from Berkeley.
Already emailed admissions to ask about the status. Hope to get clarification on Monday.
Any other late applicants, either 2/1 or 2/2-3/1 after the extension?

Although my status still says "Incomplete" as of 3/2, my second email is now a usfca.edu one as well. Cautiously optimistic...Geekolover wrote:My email changed to a usfca.edu one too. Email today says my status is complete. Again. I'm thinking it was incomplete on 3/2 because I took the LSAT again in February and they were waiting for the revised CAS report.

Thanks, you too. Did you see a USF email as your second email address? I'm wondering if that happened only to admitted students or perhaps to some waitlisters, too?montanamoose wrote: Same exact story here!

I applied late, around 3/1. Glad they extended the deadline, I was on the fence about a few places and so many other schools also had a 2/1 deadline.montanamoose wrote:Nope. Both of the emails are still mine unfortunately.

that doesn't mean anything I'm in and I don't have seat deposit information shown. I did get an e-mail of acceptance, back in December though. And I think another way to tell is that your 2nd e-mail will be a USF e-mail. Good Luck!lenka-penka wrote:Nope =(noogooyen wrote:Seat deposit information shown?

Are you sure about that? Mine is still under review and I have a USF e-mail and I'm pretty sure it was there since my application was submitted. Good thing about the seat deposit though! Best of luck to you!
Also, at this point, is it safe to assume that if we are not rejected then we are WL?

Oh really? That's weird! I thought my USF e-mail came when I got accepted. I can tell you that my acceptance was an e-mail saying congratulations. But even today I paid my seat deposit online and the seat deposits are still blank - so definitely don't look at that Good Luck!

Re: USF 2011-2012 Applicants
For some reason, my file didn't go complete until a few weeks ago. The next day, I noticed the USF email. I thought this meant I was in, because it was right around the time people were saying they saw the USF email as their 2nd email and got an acceptance email right before or after that. It's now been a few weeks. I called and they said I'm still under review (status doesn't reflect that, still says "completed." I think/hope it was actually complete earlier and the status changed because of my 2nd LSAT report.ashleyrenee wrote:Oh really? That's weird! I thought my USF e-mail came when I got accepted. Anyone from the waitlist hear anything? The waitlist email mentioned that they would let us know if they decide to use the waitlist or not sometime soon after the deposit deadline (4/16). Just checking in to hear from anyone in my same position...

Re: USF 2011-2012 Applicants
what other schools are you guys considering? I'm planning on staying in the Bay Area, so it has pretty much come down to USF and SCU for me (awaiting Hastings). I'm having a tough time since both schools are pretty much equals, but SCU has a slight edge in reputation throughout the Bay Area. My costs are pretty equal for both. USF does have a nicer/modern campus and I like the fact that it is in the City. However, living in SF costs an arm, a leg, and some loans. Right now, I might just lean towards SCU for the beautiful weather : ) For those in a similar situation, what's swayed your decision?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
