And thanks. Same to you.

Lot of good looking hipstery girls. Compared to the blonde bombshells at SB.
Halloween is just too much. I just felt like I was walking around forever -- aimlessly.paulshortys10 wrote:Damn bro nothing compares to SB...best Halloween parties...evernickg123 wrote:Well transfering from Santa Barbara, my view is skewed. with those numbers you are an auto-admithanman wrote:i applied almost 10 days ago so i don't expect to hear back anytime soon.
however i was wondering whether it would be appropriate to send a LOCI around early february.
UC-D was the first application i turned in and obviously as i have completed more applications, i realize my Davis materials could have been more polished. so i would like to kind of make-up for minor errors by emphasizing how much i really want to go there.
My gpa is 3.51 and my december 2011 lsat is 170 (162 last year but have an addendum about illness). realistically, the only school i can see myself attending next year is Davis (my husband works there and i can't see myself leaving the bay area for 3 years) ... is there some way to get this across to Admissions or is it too early for a LOCI?

I've sent thank you emails to both admissions reps that gave me tours at the schools I visited. They definitely appreciated and I think it can only make you look good.lrslayer wrote:is it proper form to send a thank you card to someone in admissions who gave you a tour (just called one morning and she said come on over and took me around the same day)?

Current 1L, if anyone has any questions.
Yes, I love it here. The atmosphere is fairly relaxed and non-competitive. There are student sports leagues (softball; bowling; football), lots of student organizations, and lots of social events. Academically speaking, everyone works hard, but nobody really talks about it and nobody talks about their grades. Most grades from fall semester have been released, and I still have no idea how many of my peers did. During finals I felt as though we were all in it together, as a group, and students would freely share outlines and help others study difficult concepts despite the fact that the classes are curved.splitbrain wrote:Do you enjoy it?calilaw wrote:Good luck everyone.

What is the atmosphere like?
Are students generally stressed out about reaching the top 10% of the class or bust?
Thank you
