So unprofessional. Their entire admissions timeline is ridiculous

+3... it would take a good amount of money to attract me at this late stage.

Has anyone tried to ask about merit aid/negotiating scholarships?

From what I understand from the tape recording I got when I called FinAid, all that info is to be released on Mon 4/2.

That's what they said when I was up there a few weeks ago as well. Anyone going to the admitted students reception in LA tonight?

I wasn't aware that such a thing was occurring - guess I got accepted too late for the invite - otherwise I'd be there...

I don't know about negotiating, but I have been told that merit scholarships are still being awarded.

It's at law firm in Century City. You might be able to RSVP still, I didn't until yesterday afternoon and they seemed fine with it.

I emailed Kristen Mercado in admissions yesterday afternoon and she sent me a confirmation within minutes. You can try calling but I've rarely had any luck with them answering the phone when I call.

Seems to have worked. Although I have to say, 5:30 is really early for a reception like this. Especially along the 405 corridor...

Does anyone know when Davis is going to send out its award letters? I already got mine from Hastings.

Does anyone know if Davis is able to match scholarships, I'm going to guess not but I thought I would ask.

You should probably just ask the financial aid department. Just tell them how much and from where. Nothing to lose from asking.

Just went into eval yesterday.... hard to even consider them at this point when I need to be making decisions soon.

They are really slow. I have been at evaluation in progress for a long time now. I think tomorrow will be a deadline for them since it's effectively the end of the month and they know other schools are looking for seat deposits and they will start to lose prospective students as they give up on Davis. I bet they will send out a bunch of notifications one way or the other this week. That's my best guess anyway.

Just got my acceptance package in the mail yesterday. Included a 1GB flash drive, which I thought was nice until my fiancee informed me that that was considered sub-par these days. I guess that just shows my age, I remember when my 20GB laptop was the best damn thing around - in my undergraduate...
