Got the acceptance packet in the mail today, and they had written a nice personal note at the end of the letter. Nothing major, but it was a very nice personal touch.
Now, about that scholarship money...

+1 Although they did email me and said that decisions about scholarships will begin coming out at the end of January.wvuchip wrote:Got the acceptance packet in the mail today, and they had written a nice personal note at the end of the letter. Nothing major, but it was a very nice personal touch.

My Kentucky status checker says file pending for decision with today's date, so I've been obsessively checking and waiting for that to change and show that decision is.
That means I'll get a decision soon, right?

I received a letter with scholarship information today. I'm OOS and they offered me a fellowship that would let me pay in-state tuition. I think it amounted to around 13k a year. I'll be withdrawing soon.
Good luck to everyone!

I got the fellowship as well.moves everything into about the same price range for me. Torn between UK, Denver, and Tech now if UH don't work out.

Re: Kentucky c/o 2015 (2011-12 Cycle)
Accepted miraculously with a 3.22 and a 156. I don't know how or why, but it's amazing. I also received a scholarship that would cover the amount between in-state and out of state. So, barring any other better acceptances with that much money (of which I have received none), I will be there in the fall. I would LOVE to talk to anyone about UK Law, so please PM me or post on this thread!

Re: Kentucky c/o 2015 (2011-12 Cycle)
I live in Denver, and DU prospects don't necessarily seem the best, which, compared to UK (though I don't know too much about UK either), seem to have much less opportunities for jobs after graduation. Boulder dominates a lot of the market here. But ALSO I have heard that DU is good if you want to practice in Denver, so my advice seems kind of stupid and nonsensical. But I did get into both DU and UK, and UK is by far a better choice personally for me, since DU is so expensive and job prospects really don't seem to be the best in Denver. Additionally, the Denver market is small and highly insular, I heard. Which, it could be the same for UK, so I basically should just stop talking because I'm giving contradictory advice (so much for trying to be a lawyer)TxRenegade2012 wrote:I got the fellowship as well.moves everything into about the same price range for me. was held back in November, but just got an admit email. Status checker never updated from being under review.

So for those of you accepted today, did scholarship info come in your email? My email mentioned that if I wanted anything additional to be included for scholarship consideration to let them know. Maybe my app being held results in different timing?
Edit: According to the Admitted Students site, the Scholarship Committee continously meets till April.

I know in Kentucky each school determines residency and at Louisville residency is hard to attain. Can anyone confirm if this is the case at UK as well?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
