Thanks! I chose IMAP... am I doomed?
Also, is there an easy way to use gmail but send from hls? it's easy from desktop, not so much on iphone.

Maybe that's what I picked too? Idk it was trial and error and only one worked. Not sure which, haha. When composing, click the from box and you should get a menu of all your synced emails to choose from.neuropol wrote:Thanks! I chose IMAP... am I doomed?

Oh wait I'm dumb you mean from safari on your phone? No idea, I basically never actually go to the gmail site.

woof. I'm sorry! Did you get need-based at other schools? because Harvard gave me significantly more (read: double) what most other schools ponied up for grant money alone (not merit)snehpets wrote:Need based aid=0. OMG DEBT.

No. It's an email directing you to the financial aid website. You'll see a new "award" tab added after you log in.potl wrote:Are you guys receiving actual letters in the mail?fingerscrossedxx wrote:Just got mine 31,100 as well! ))deluxe wrote:Just got the award letter today. Ooof. On the upside, just finished doing all my loan applications, they're pretty straightforward! Took me about 20min to do them all. Of course it might be slightly different for non-internationals.snehpets wrote:Nah just merit. Parents =\avd90 wrote:woof. I'm sorry! Re: In at Harvard
The first year. The renewal of the need-based grant requires an annual application since they will take the large sum of summer internship earning into calculation next year. 31,100 basically means zero parent contribution.06132012 wrote:per year or total?fingerscrossedxx wrote:Just got mine 31,100 as well! ))deluxe wrote:Just got the award letter today. Ahhh thanks. That just means aid can really only go down-especially for people who choose to go the firm route. Is 31k just about the most they will give for the first year?

Re: In at Harvard
31k is the maximum you can get, cuz for me thats 0 student and 0 parent contributions. Next year will be interesting.06132012 wrote:Ahhh thanks. On another front I have to get like 7 immunization shots to update my records. Haha, I'm so excited :p

For fellow WL admits, are the immunization and transcript stuff still due soon? I think on the 15th?

I asked about this and they said just get them in as soon as possible, and they'll follow up if they don't have what they need from you.Doorkeeper wrote:For fellow WL admits, are the immunization and transcript stuff still due soon? I think on the 15th?
Actually, don't know about immunization stuff--I was just asking about Dean's Certs and transcripts.

The immunization forms are on the Admitted Student Site. Under the Admitted Student Checklist, there's the a link to Health and Immunization Forms.
And, by the way, I'm back! I just sent in my deposit, so it's official this time. I had sent in a withdrawal email a little while ago, but I must have sounded so brokenhearted that Dean Soban called me up and, essentially, gave me a chance to reconsider. She was super sweet about the matter, and gave me some additional information and put me in touch with a number of people at HLS to help me make an informed decision. After taking some time to properly agonize over my options and torture anyone who'd listen to me in the process, I finally made a decision that I'm confident is the best one for me. So much happier about this now.

Well you faced an enviable, but quite difficult, situation that basically had no "wrong" answer. It's just good you were able to make a decision and be happy with it!curiouscat wrote:The immunization forms are on the Admitted Student Site.
