I was placed on the WL on 12/27. The letter that followed stated that because I submitted my application so early (early October), that my application had been reviewed as one within their "early-decision program". The letter went on to say that they would begin re-reviewing these "early-decision" applications at the beginning of February, and that the "regular" WL applicants would have their applications reviewed again in April.

Is there anyone else on here who has been waitlisted, and who has received a similar letter? Or, does anyone else on here have experience with Arizona's WL process?

The verbiage in the letter gave me the impression that, really, a "hold" status was placed on my application. Obviously, the good news here is that it is not a rejection. However, having been admitted to several other schools, I would really like to hear back from them as soon as possible.

Please let me know if anyone else has experience with this. Best of luck to all of you, and congratulations to those of you who have already been accepted!

Dates?

In reply to the above post:

My application status with UA changed to "Decision rendered" on 12/27. The WL letter I received did not come until 01/05. Since this likely had something to do with the holidays, I would imagine that your letter should arrive within 3-5 business days. I would also assume this is the standard for all decisions. From what I have heard, UA does not post the actual decision on the app status checker, so you just have to sit tight and wait on the mail piece.

Good luck!

Don't remember exact dates. I submitted my app the first week in January, status was in committee review from about 1/20 until yesterday. I just got offered a full ride to UNLV, so unless UA can offer me at least a partial scholarship, i'll end up there.

Good to know! I submitted around then as well so hopefully I'll receive news soon. Thanks!

I'm in the same early application hold. Nothing's changed on my online status, still stuck at decision rendered with a dec. date so i guess in the next few weeks
we'll see what they mean by "early feb"

I wonder if the status checker is even going to change again, or if we are just going to get an email/snail mail?

Status checkers in general haven't been at all useful to me personally. Any info I've gotten about acceptances/waitlisted at any school has come by mail or phone call. One less thing to check right? That's sure to make us feel better.

The Domicile Affidavit was removed on mine as well. I still have the Character Fitness Box.

Application submitted 1/12, decision rendered today. They spent 4 months with my file last year and ended up dinging me, so I'm surprised by how fast they're processing this year. GPA is 3.58, LSAT is only 155 (Mercy, people, I had strep). Personal statement is strong. I guess we'll have to see, but I really want to stay in AZ.

Good luck to you! I just want the JD. I'm glad to know that other people are getting their decisions back pretty quickly as well. Now we just have to wait for someone to sign our letters or assemble our packets!

The status checker is both a gift and a curse. It is great that I can go online and see if a decision has been made, but when Arizona changes me to Decision Rendered, lists nothing under mailings, and does not send an email I find myself getting frustrated.

I've been trying to call the admissions office to see if I can get some idea about when the mailings will be sent. No answer. I'll try again between classes today, but if I can't get a hold of them, I might just drop by the office and see if I can talk to someone. I mean, how hard is it to put a thumb drive in an envelope and mail it out? And would it really be a bad thing if you could update the status tracker with the date it should be mailed? Just kind of pissed that other schools have the courtesy to give you a decision via email, but this one has something against that for some reason.

Anyone in that early action, "waitlist/hold" category heard anything yet?
