My status finally updated today, to show that the letter was mailed monday. Looks like they didn't get them out last week like they said. Here's to hoping my letter is in the mail today!Purity Control wrote:gaud wrote:For any AZ residents:
How long after it said 'Decision Letter Mailed' did it take to receive your letter?
Gaud: I live in Tucson and received my acceptance package in the mail today, 2 days after it was mailed. Like several other previous posters, I saw no changes to the fees or requirements on the tracker prior to receiving the package.
Dates:
App complete: 1/23/12
Comm. review: 1/31/12
Decision rend.: 2/22/12
Letter mailed: 2/27/12 (this past Monday)
Received: 2/29/12 (today)

Congratulations Gaud!
I started a thread in the "Class of 2015" forum for the UofA, for those who will be attending or are strongly considering doing so:

Also a current 1L has volunteered to answer questions here:

Re: University of Arizona c/o 2015 (2011-12 Cycle)
I called on Friday and spoke to someone in the admissions office who gave minimal information. She said they don't rank the waitlist and do a thorough re-review of waitlisted apps. We could hear anytime between now and summer. Sometime, (she didn't know when) we'll be receiving another letter either saying rejected, accepted, or continuing to be reviewed. Sorry guys, that's all I could get!
I sent my LOCI via snail mail, thinking that at the very least, my effort to send a hard copy would be seen in better light than sending it electronically via e-mail. If you're going to send one, I'd recommend sending it through snail mail, too.
I would love to know more of a time frame, and have contemplated calling the admissions office, but am hesitant to do so as I do not want to give them any reason to think negatively about me. If you do call them, and they give you an estimate, please do share!
Good luck with everything on all of your applications!
That's great that you got a response at least! Did you send your LOCI via email or snail mail? Thinking about calling admissions to see if they can give any more of a time frame...
Tarheel19932005 wrote:

Do we know if the status checker will re-update for those of us who are in this waitlist/hold category?

I'm still in the early action waitlist/hold hell. Just received an acceptance from FSU (whose entering class stats are almost identical to UA's) yesterday after being placed on hold in January. Hopefully, UA has one or two batches of acceptances to send out before seat deposits are due elsewhere in April.ensign85 wrote:Same. My status updated to 3/20/12 (I was in the waitlist/hold type category) and it still says 'Decision Rendered' which it always has said. Nothing new under mailings or other requirements...
Anyone else have this?

I'm in the EA hold and my status updated to 3/21. Does any update indicate a waitlist decision?

Re: University of Arizona c/o 2015 (2011-12 Cycle)
My guess, based on what I was told over the phone was, that if it doesn't say anything under requirements or mailings, then you were selected to remain on the waitlist, much like myself.aj1724 wrote:I'm in the EA hold and my status updated to 3/21. Does any update indicate a waitlist decision?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
