I find it so weird that they're mailing the letters all on different dates...

Status checker says decision letter was mailed 12/19. I just checked the mail and....nothing.
My Requirements List reads as follows:
First Seat Deposit
Second Seat Deposit
Official Undergraduate Transcript
Deferral Fee
Does anyone's show anything different?

Mine doesn't show any of that, even though I was mailed the decision letter on the same day. Neverthelesss, I'm pretty sure it's good news for you -- congratstravis9952 wrote:Status checker says decision letter was mailed 12/19. I just checked the mail and....nothing.

Mine was mailed (or is going to be mailed) tomorrow the 23rd...and I don't have that. I'm guessing that that switched for people who were accepted?

Mine was mailed 12/19 supposedly but I got nothing today. Also, my status checker has not been updated with any seat deposit info or anything. Shouldn't somebody have gotten the letter by now? I'm all the way in South Carolina, so I figured mine would take a while.

Maybe they're in the process of updating them now...I'm willing to bet that most people's who were sent out on 12/19 were acceptances, like I originally thought. Probably just haven't gotten around to updating all the status checkers yet.

My status checker hasn't changed yet either. I just have the app fee so far and that it was (will be) mailed 12/23. I'm in Louisiana, so I'm sure that most others will get their mail before I will.

has anyone else at all seen that info pop up in their requirements section? That stuff when it is present has been in the 'fees' section for every other school. It would be a pretty good indicator of admission (or rejection if u dont have it) but if nobody else with a decision letter mailed sees it could be either confusion or a well timed trolling

Anyone else have any insight? Maybe someone whose letter was mailed 12/23 and has had their status checker change?

For those who are wondering, I'm in Tucson and I haven't received mine yet; I'm assuming I'll receive mine before all OOS people, so I think it might still take another day or two

Just a theory, but maybe they're all being mailed on the 23rd and the different days are just data entry things.... It took 3 days for my acceptance letter from San Diego to get to Atlanta. I think that 4 days is more than enough time for letters to get from UA to other parts of Tucson - esp this week when the postal service is working overtime.

Re: University of Arizona c/o 2015 (2011-12 Cycle)
But, why would some who went blank earlier (including myself) get a letter mailing date (12/23) than those who went blank later and got an earlier mailing date (12/19)?? It's all so very confusing.....
They could just allude all of the confusion with a simple update on the status checker.

Re: University of Arizona c/o 2015 (2011-12 Cycle)
I agree....rejections going out first and then acceptances or vice versa makes little sense, with 4 days difference? why? All the people who got the message last week show a date of 12/23, which is the date i believe all the decisions which have been reached till now will be sent out. The people who got the message this week show the date the actual status itself was input, like 12/19 or 12/21-12/22 and someone from instate not getting it by now is pretty good proof the letter itself hasn't been sent out yet. Seemed like a data entry thing from beginning, now im pretty sure that it is. But if thats right I think its likely status checkers will update tomorrow, lets hope so!aj1724 wrote:confusedprelaw wrote:For those who are wondering, I'm in Tucson and I haven't received mine yet; I'm assuming I'll receive mine before all OOS people, so I think it might still take another day or two

So consensus is dates mean nothing and that the guy was trolling? (It was his first ever post both on TLS and in this forum)

This makes the most sense. Hopefully they update the status checker tomorrow. I've been anxiously waiting since Monday and another week would suck.benito wrote: I agree....rejections going out first and then acceptances or vice versa makes little sense, with 4 days difference? why? I'm glad you've all decided that the dates aren't indicative of anything. I was going crazy trying to figure out why my mailings date was neither the 19th or the 23rd. Lol! Let's hope that tomorrow brings us all good news.
