I visited the school earlier this week and was really impressed. The location is great and the facilities are also really nice probably because it was all recently built. I'm probably going to be sending in my first deposit when I get home.

I'm getting pretty close to that decision. I am attending the scholars weekend at the end of the month, so I will inevitably make my decision after that. I'm definitely leaning towards Chapman though!

I was wondering if anyone has received any financial aid, whether it be merit scholarships or need based aid, from chapman after you received your acceptance letter? That is, not at the same time as your acceptance letter.

I got a portion of tuition covered, which was stated in the acceptance letter.

Sitting In Review since 1/31. If I didn't pay for the app fee I would have withdrawn by now.

Same except in review since 1/24. I'm going to call today just to see what the deal is. I think for 75 bucks and the time it took to fill out the app I should at least get a decision.

I was emailed on April 5 that my review has been put on "hold" and that I will be notified my final status in four weeks. Today, it has been four weeks. Everywhere else I've applied for has had a much faster review processes.

This is crazy...how long does it take? I applied to some better schools after Chapman and was accepted within a month.

I had called about a week ago and after going through a few menus only got voicemail. Not sure what the deal is.

i got my acceptance package 2 weeks ago. i am not impressed with the money they offered me, and it is simply not worth going there with the high tuition they charge with the abysmal employment prospects they offer. i will be withdrawing and hope that my spot goes to one of you.

I'm not sure. I got the admission packet today and got a 60% scholly, renewable based on maintaining a 3.0. Based on other Chapman threads, this means top 33.3% of the class. My other alternative is SCU at sticker but I'd be saving on living expenses and be near family with that option. Tough call. I'd like to ultimately move back to SD though... but I like SCU too. I'm conflicted.

Hey future Chapman 1L's- Congrats on being admitted! I remember perusing these forums about a year ago myself. I just finished my 1L year at Chapman. If I can be of any help, feel free to PM me or post a question. I'd be happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability.

I will be withdrawing as soon as I get around to it. After being offered money from a higher ranked school, I find Chapman a little too stingy with money. Anyway, Good Luck! I hope my seat goes to one of you.

During the waitlisted students chat, they said they would start looking at waitlisted apps end of June.

I know! But it's tooo long of a wait..I was wondering if anyone has heard back since the chat? I also was kind of bummed to read how a CHapman administrator said that the LOCi does not make much of a difference...then what is the point of having a LOCI? lol It frustrates me how they tell students that waitlisted applicants are not ranked. there must be some sort of ranking/marking for waitlisted students.

Chapman is taking a long time. I'm still waiting for an initial decision.
