I'm on the same boat! Woo!
I'm pretty much in the same boat too! I'm waiting on a few more schools, but I have a feeling that it's going to be Chapman. The only huge drawback is that it is SO incredibly expensive to live in Orange. I have yet to find a decent apartment for under $1,200/month. What makes Orange so special when you can live for much cheaper in cities such as Sacramento or San Diego?
Many students don't live in Orange. I know I drive to school everyday. I drive 35 minutes each way (most do not live that far). Many students live where is cheaper.
You don't find it difficult having a commute? I know LA traffic is notorious for being awful, especially in the morning, and especially on the 405 and 22. I just don't know if the added stress of being late for class because of traffic is worth saving some money. You haven't had any issues?

It's funny, it really depends on the direction you are traveling. At 5-6PM if I am heading south on the 5 I am fine. In the morning going North is fine. In the AM going North on the 55 is fine and going South is terrible. It all depends on your class time and when you leave to head home.

Application Received: 1/23/12
Admitted: 2/3/12

It is the first school to give me a decision from the gazillion applications I sent, but I applied in all of them 2nd and 3rd week of January. I am surprised how fast Chapman caught me and offered some pretty good $$$ too. I will be expecting more decision letters on the mail and also re-taking the LSAT this Saturday (December LSAT was 156, what a bummer for a 3.97 GPA). The anxiety is killing me but its good to know that I already have a safety net. Maybe if I score higher this LSAT, Chapman will give me more $$$. :D

To those admitted, when did your status checkers change? I'm trying to not waste as much time checking these things during the day. :x Thanks!

I've been in review since I submitted my application the first week of January. I'm going crazy checking it. I hope they have a round of decisions coming soon.

Don't know when they are coming out with decisions. I just saw I got admitted via status checker. Hopefully they offer me good money.

In with a 60% scholarship for full time study. Not bad, but probably not enough to sway me. Well see how receptive they are to negotiating.

Just FYI, write another letter to the Admissions Dean letting her know some other facts about you and how you stand out. If you truly would come to Chapman with a bigger scholarship, tell her that. (It did work for me 3 years ago!)

I am going to write admissions to see if I can get some type of scholarship. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to include an updated transcript since I had a really good semester that substantially increased my GPA. I have already been accepted.

I went complete on 1/6 and my second update (In review) was on 2/8, but I haven't heard anything yet! Does anyone know if this means anything? wait-listed? rejected?

That's just the normal progression of things at Chapman.

Just received the invitation today for the scholars weekend at the end of March, anyone else attending?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
