I think they are yearly. Does the amount give you a clue? For example, if it's a $10k scholarship that would make it seem yearly since that's a silly amount to spread over three years. If it's a $40k scholly that would be over three years since that's more than a single year of tuition.

Mine is $18K....

I think that means $6k per year. I'm pretty sure scholarship awards are usually lump-sum unless otherwise indicated.

You're welcome! You can definitely call them to clarify, hopefully they really meant $18k/year as that would be sah-weet for you!

I just emailed her and she said it's per year. I am really excited about this + in state starting the first year, I feel like this is a really good option for me.

That's awesome!!! So you're basically paying like $7k/year in fees, books and tuition... that's gotta be pretty tough to turn down unless you've got some other amazing options.

I'm still waiting to hear from quite a few, but this is going to be pretty hard to beat!

neeko, I'm in the same boat. In-state with 18k. It's gonna take something seriously nice to turn this down!

Congrats to you both! I'm also awaiting decision, and expect a similar scholarship offer. May I ask what the stipulations are to keep said scholarship?

3.0. She said that's top half of class, and 80% of the students keep their scholarships. Sounds really good to me.

Congrats! And I agree, it's going to take a lot to get me elsewhere at this point.

Congrats, everybody!!! About how long did it take for them to give you a decision after having your application complete?

OK so about a month then... nice. I will be on my way back from Paris when I should be getting my results. Hopefully they are good results so I don't just jump out of the plane.

Just got in via e-mail with $20K a year! Don't necessarily see myself going there, but it's a fantastic offer nonetheless.

I know the feeling! Hopefully you hear soon.

Is anyone else going to the open house in January? I want to but I don't know if I can get off work. I hope they hold one a little later on as well.

Just got the e-mail acceptance today! How do you know if you get a scholly or not? Is it in the mailing or do they tell you if you get one straight up on the e-mail (and if they don't say anything does it mean you aren't getting a merit-based one)?

Either way, I'm excited!

In with a pretty nice scholarship. I really kind of wanted to get out of New Jersey, but it's going to be really difficult to say no at this stage.

Thanks, you too! How long after the admittance e-mail did the scholly e-mail come? Sorry, I'm so impatient!
