I was WL'd two weeks ago, but last week Dean Walton said that I could expect to hear from them sometime this week. Not sure if that alleviates anyone's stress any if you've been WL'd recently as well, but just in case I thought I would share.

Application has been complete since March 15th.

Had yet to hear back from them, anyone else still waiting?

Could they be holding on, waiting to see if anyone with stronger numbers accepts? I mean it can't be a bad thing that I haven't heard back from them yet. I obviously understand that if I had killer numbers I would have been snagged, but ehh well see.

I am planning on retaking, but just thought it wouldn't hurt to apply to Rutgers being its a state school and the tuition wouldn't be that bad.

Heard from a source that Rutgers-Newark is merging/being cut along with Rutgers-Camden. Won't become official until the Fall. I would stay away from all Rutgers/NJ public institutions at this point.

Substantiate your source or is it is nothing more than gibberish..... I heard the same thing from a source about Harvard.....

All I've heard is Camden is merging with whatever tiny school is right next to it, nothing about Newark though... I'd be interested in your source as well.

Side note: I've yet to hear back, despite what I posted a couple weeks ago. I'm also re-taking though.

FWIW I heard back from Rutgers N pretty quickly but noticed that other schools waited until after the seat deposit date to give out quite a few initial decisions. RN may be doing this as well.... Kind of an unofficial waitlist......

Call it gibberish but that was the grumblings in Trenton today. Just thought I'd throw it out there if people wanted to know.

Was it a merge or a cut? Big difference. Rowan will have law school when Camden merge is complete and will have the research institution backing their med school. Serves no organization any purpose to merge Newark. If it was a cut then thats not anything new. State funded achools have funding cuts all the time, one reason why tuition at all institutiona change from year to Year. I think you should use more discretion when posting conspiracy theories, no matter the intentions of your statements.

There were some grumblings that they could possibly merge Rowan/RU-C, scrap RU-N, and build a new RU law at the undergraduate flagship campus in New Brunswick. I haven't heard about that in a while though and even if they did do that it really wouldn't hurt the school's reputation whatsoever, in my opinion. Sure, I'd rather be closer to NYC but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

I'm sorry...I absolutely do not believe for a second that there will not be a single "Rutgers Law" in New Jersey.

Suuuper late, but I just got admitted to RN. Was planning on going next year, but certain family connections reached out to me and it's become clear that my best bet is whatever school is the cheapest.

Quick question though, anyone in here commuting from Hoboken?
