Rutgers-Newark Class of 2015 (2011-2012 cycle)

Post by mrtoren » Thu Nov 17, 2011 10:24 pm

Applied about two months ago...hoping to hear back in the next two to three weeks. Is the wait killing anyone else?

I'm also a Rutgers undergrad applying to Newark as one of my top choices. I'm taking the December LSAT and applying immediately after. Good luck to everyone!

Went on a trip with an ex from Hawaii to the state of New Jersey and you loved it? Things aren't adding up here...

Marlboro isn't a county, but it is a really nice area!

I'm from Freehold, two towns away from Marlboro. Marlboro is in Monmouth County. New Jersey is also a very confusing state. If you end up practicing law in New Jersey, expect to traverse the entire state for work. Every lawyer I know who practices here tends to travel quite a lot throughout the state - sometimes from one end to the other in a single day.

EDIT: It's two towns away if you take 9 and one town away from Marlboro if you take 79.

Does anyone know if scholarships are per year or total? It's hard to tell from the email.

Status checker then email right away. One for acceptance and one for scholarship.

That's awesome! Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question though about scholarships.

But I am jealous I have an iPhone and not an Android, so I (believe) I can't get the Status Checker app.

I'm getting pretty nervous even though I just submitted it about 4 days ago. Hopefully the turnaround is okay. Do people ITT think I'm a contender with a 3.11/158 from F&M with 2 1/2 years of biglaw paralegal experience?

I think they are yearly. Does the amount give you a clue? For example, if it's a $10k scholarship that would make it seem yearly since that's a silly amount to spread over three years. If it's a $40k scholly that would be over three years since that's more than a single year of tuition.

My image graces the front page of the Rutgers New Brunswick website, is it wrong to feel a bit entitled to getting accepted...along with a 161 LSAT/3.66 GPA?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
