Grats to the first admits! I'm also waiting on news from Hastings. :)

I received the e-mail from Hastings this AM - around 11...I was ED - now deferred to regular admissions. Excited about that :) It's better than a rejection!!

Just received my email that my app's been deferred to the regular admission pool too. Ah well! Still crossing my fingers! Looks like we're in the same boat, Ashleyrenee.

Also got an email today from Hastings deferring my admission to regular decision. Crossing my fingers for a good result in the future! Now a longer wait... Ugh!

At least they're giving us a date to hold onto...I'm putting the anxiety out of my mind until March. :D

...So, did anyone get in ED or did we all get deferred?

Would anyone mind PMing there stats (if they aren't in your profile cause if they are I already looked) and let me know if you were in or deferred?

My numbers are up on LSN, for all those interested! Hopefully the adcomm will see my strong upward trend and give me the benefit of the doubt?

This is round 2 for me. Applied in March (Feb LSAT) last year and was waitlisted all the way into August. We'll see how it goes! Good luck, everyone!

According to their Strategic Plan (--LinkRemoved--) they plan to "Reduce the size of the JD class to foster community building and engagement" and to "Improve the numerical predictors of student success by increasing the median undergraduate GPA, increasing the “presumptive deny” GPA of applicants and reducing the “presumptive deny” LSAT score." The latter is good news for reverse splitters.

Checking in. Went complete on 11/22 and haven't heard anything since. Sounds like Hastings is becoming even less splitter friendly. Oh well... Hoping I'll be alright anyway :?

You're a splitter too, Green Glass Windows? Looks like we're in the same boat. Here's hoping that we both have good luck in our splitter-dom!

Yeah splitters! It definitely seems like most California schools favor reverse splitters though. Oh well. Best of luck to you too!

Well, hopefully they'll give us a chance! I get the emphasis on numbers, but I'm hoping that schools will look at the less quantifiable factors too...

Has anyone who got accepted via ED gotten anything in the mail from Hastings since then? Or is the e-mail and phone call all we get for right now?

Does anyone remember how long it took to get your application received and/or status checker email from Hastings? I haven't heard a peep since I submitted my app.

Last year I submitted around 10/20 and received an e-mail confirmation on 11/5. It definitely takes a while - I guess the office is closed now so it will be a while longer.

Thank you! I thought that might be it but I figured I'd ask :)

I'm guessing those of us who were not ED will hear something after the 15th of January which is the deadline for ED applicants to submit their deposit.
