Yeah, you've got my numbers and I guess they are waitlisting people at our range. Weaksauce.maysman24 wrote:Waitlisted today. 158 LSAT. 3.3 GPA. Above Average Resume.

Ditto, applied for the PT program in late November and went complete on 11/30 and just went under review.

Re: UCONN applicants 2011-2012
applied late november, got accepted last week. 2.98 / 167. What's good with these scholarships? They made it sound as if there could be more govt funding coming incrementally over the next 6/7 months. Anyone apply here last year and have experience with that? Or you think if you don't get any cash in the next 8 weeks, is that the end of it? Congrats to everyone else who got in already, West Hartford is gorgeous.

For those of you that got accepted and have ANY questions you can go here: http://www.facebook.com/groups/331181276896936/
But to answer the scholarship question the official post from Dean DeMeola this morning read as follows:
I apologize for the delay in new scholarship offers. We are finalizing the numbers and as such need to wait just a bit more. I appreciate your patience.
Then, someone else asked if they're coming via e-mail to which she responded "yes".
Good luck!

As did I. Nice offer but it's just not enough. It seems like a great place and I was sorry to withdraw. Best of luck to everyone else!stephinmd wrote:Got the scholarship email today.

scholarship info came yesterday... 20k for the first year and instate after that. Just not worth it. I'll hopefully be withdrawing once I hear back from some other schools.

You were wait listed with a 3.5 and a 157? For part time? Geez, I guess my chances of getting off the waitlist are slimming

Uconn, I think, is trying to bring its stats for the PT program up. A friend of mine got off the WL with worse stats (for FT) last year. Send a LOCI.Snlckaz31 wrote:You were wait listed with a 3.5 and a 157? For part time? Geez, I guess my chances of getting off the waitlist are slimming

WL'd part-time here too. I remember reading somewhere that they were trying to boost stats and also had an influx of PT apps because it is a financially better option for some in this economy. I too plan on sending a LOCI in the near future.

My LOCI was sent the day after I got wait listed. I'm debating retaking the LSAT in June but a final decision on my status may get made before then.

Well...after a rejection and a waitlist yesterday, I am 90% sure I'll end up here at UConn. Can't wait to meet you all at ASD.

Congrats man. I got waitlisted with a 3.11/158 (which are similar to your numbers, right?) and am in-state. Out of curiosity, are you from CT? I've heard that they often like to take people from out-of-state...LAFish wrote:Well...after a rejection and a waitlist yesterday, I am 90% sure I'll end up here at UConn. Thanks! Our numbers are very similar and I am out-of-state. I thought state schools like UConn favored in-state students more than out-of-staters? Really surprised you got waitlisted...seems the line they're drawing is at 159 this year. A LOCI and a bit of waiting should get you in though.iceicebaby wrote:Congrats man. Re: UCONN applicants 2011-2012
Yeah, I sent a LOCI the next day, but I'm worried I kinda had this pissy tone come through it... but what can I say, I'm kinda pissed off. I work down the street at one of the bigger CT firms as a paralegal. UConn is a feeder school to us and many of the attorneys here are UConn Law alums. They have told me that they noticed that UConn tends to want people from out-of-state because of financial and diversity reasons. I know that UConn wants a diverse student body, which I totally get, but apparently that also means diverse in terms of geographic location.LAFish wrote:Thanks! It could also be what you said, they are drawing the line at 159. The only thing that bothers me about that though is that they said at the open house that applications are down this year and as such they will be lowering their LSAT median to a 159. So maybe they are just waitlisting the earlier people that fall into the 25% to 50% range? Who knows. Anyway, thanks for the words of encouragement. I would be lying if I said I was not much less keen on UConn now, but I know that feeling is pretty irrational.

Re: UCONN applicants 2011-2012
So I just went on the status checker, and there is a unchecked box next to resume. However, I checked my completed and sent application through LSAC, and my resume was attached. Is this something I should contact the school about?
