Very happy to see them moving along!
I read this post, went in to my checker to see what you were talking about, and even though I was expecting it, it still tricked me.nickjive wrote:I don't like how they began the header with "Congratulations!" Major blue ball.
The wording on the checker kind of makes it sound like complete means in review. I don't know for sure though.CPM723 wrote:Since we are going complete, it can't be too long before we go under review, right?
I would think not. They say if you have your materials in by Jan. 15 you'll get a decision by Feb. 15, so that allows for 4 weeks. Fingers crossed!CPM723 wrote:Since we are going complete, it can't be too long before we go under review, right?
I think that means that you cannot email or call admissions for a decision. On the other hand, they can call you with any info. I'm pretty sure that people got an email last year if accepted.nickjive wrote:The status checker header claims Loyola doesn't release decisions via phone or email. Do you think they will update the status checker with a decision or will we only find out via snail mail?
got the same about 30 minutes ago.ggibelli wrote:Just received this e-mail from Loyola-Chi..
"After January 15, which is our early notification deadline, the Committee on Admission will begin the review of completed applications. Our policy is to notify candidates by February 15 of the decision of the committee. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to provide information regarding admission decisions via phone or email requests. Please note your application status online will indicate complete until a final decision is made."
There was a bit more but for the most part it seems as if regular decision apps aren't looked at for another month.
I know! I got the same email today (even though my status changed a few days ago). They're probably the latest school so far in reviewing my appCPM723 wrote:That seems really late. I'm surprised how slow they have been this year.
Yeah, I had been complete for at while before they emailed us. I am thinking of calling and asking about a possible timeline.timetopretend wrote:I know! I talked to an admissions person at a law day back in October. I wanted to add another letter of recommendation, and she said I had plenty of time because they probably will not even begin looking at applications until January (which goes along with the email they sent out this week).CPM723 wrote:Yeah, I had been complete for at while before they emailed us. By ED they mean people who put their application in by a certain time.mattviphky wrote:ggibelli wrote:Just received this e-mail from Loyola-Chi..
