We have similar numbers. This makes me sad.

Did they have you write the extra essay?

Ugh. Sorry. I did read you had to send a GPA addendum.

Can't win 'em all I guess, best of luck with the rest of the schools you applied to!

On a side note, has anyone looked into the GMR option at Cincy? The prospect of living in Kentucky isn't exactly thrilling, but looking at the map you can literally live right across the river and get in-state tuition. Now I would think that this option requires being a KY resident, but in the email they sent me it says: "Incoming students who move to an eligible Kentucky county before the start of the academic year can qualify." Tempting...very tempting.

The view's a lot better from the Kentucky side anyway. And there are some beautiful, affordable condos right across the river. I hope to live there if I return to Cincinnati some day.

Yeah, after learning about the GMR Cincinnati just rose higher on my list. I'm just worried about what the neighborhoods in Northern Kentucky will be like. I have to assume that there are plenty of other out of state students living in maybe Newport or Covington and just commuting across the river.

The NoKY area right across the river from Cincy is way more liveable than anywhere within Cincy. There is a lot of beautiful, safe housing and the area is really up and coming. I was planning on living there even before I heard about this amazing offer.

Went complete 12/6 via email with the application addendum and was told that I would hear back in a few weeks. Got an email yesterday telling me that I should apply though! Hate when schools do that.

I didn't get an addendum, but I'm wondering if maybe it's because I'm originally from the area? Did anyone from Cincinnati get one?

I'm from the NKy area and did not get asked for the addendum (3.7, 162)

Aww I just got a holiday card in the mail from Cinci! I saw it and was like, what is this, a tiny rejection letter? But no! Hopefully this means they are closer to making a decision and sending me some $$$

I'm glad they are continuing this from the past few years and I'll remind myself not to drop dead at the mailbox when I see it.

If history repeats itself those of us who have been UR for a while will hear this week...probably the 20th or 21st. I'm interested to get a response from Cincinnati.

Good to know. When I submitted my addendum a few weeks ago they said I'd hear in a few weeks. I hope a few schools give out some pre-Christmas acceptances!

Did anyone else get that email today that nearly made them shit themselves? It was a letter from the dean inviting me to apply, which I have, awhile ago. If Cinci spent less time asking me to apply and more time reviewing my application that I submitted awhile ago, I'd have a decision by now...

I received the e-mail this morning as well and about freaked out. I was hoping for a decision today...I sure hope it comes this week. They are closed on Friday and I wanted some [good] news before Christmas. I've been UR for what feels like ages.
