I received the essay question as well and I have submitted it. I have been freaking out about it as I'm not a guaranteed admit.

Ugh their newsletters! They are just toying with us.

Mind sharing when you applied and when it went complete?

Anybody receive an email from Al Watson today asking for an app. addendum? They want me to answer these two questions within 10 days:

1. Explain what you currently know about the University of Cincinnati, and/or the greater Cincinnati area, that you believe will enhance the quality of your law school education.

2. Given today's uncertain economic outlook, what do you believe will distinguish you from others as you prepare to enter the legal job market in the coming years?

Ok so now that I sent this in, I gave a call to Admissions just to follow up on it and they told me its a good indicator that the counsel is strongly interested in you. PSYCHED!

Really?! This makes me excited. I sent it back the same day they asked for it and they said I would hear something in December.

What a relief. I am checking my e-mail constantly from them. Honestly I do not expect the process to be much longer from looking over the past few years.

I believe Cincy always sends out a separate letter.

For those that wrote the essay:
It says limit your response to two pages. Did you take that to mean the whole thing, or each prompt? I'm assuming it means the whole thing, but let me know if you did otherwise.

I did them both as two pages, though neither was that much over.

I can certainly see them meaning the whole thing as two pages, but I feel like it's debatable. Or maybe I'm just screwed.

Mine was only one page for the whole thing.

Perhaps a moronic move on my part.

If I joke a bit about being from Cleveland while still adhering to the guidelines do you think that's a bad idea? I have a hard time not including humor in things. Well, my personal statement didn't include any, but come on, won't being a Brown's fan make anyone laugh?

I'm right there with ya. Born and raised in Cleveland, love my horrible Browns.

I don't really get what you're insinuating here.

Not insinuating anything, just referring to my previous post regarding interpreting the instructions liberally.

Oh ha, sorry. I thought you were calling me an idiot for making mine only 1 page. I don't know if this was the right way to do it, but I haven't heard anything back from them since she told me I would hear in December.

Haha no absolutely not! I was calling myself an idiot. Maybe in my defense I can argue the instructions can be interpreted differently. Oh well.

I have not heard anything back either and they told me the same thing.
