Maybe it is "most of us" but not all. I was asked to send a "Why Cincinnati?" essay. Did so and was WL.

After I was put on the WL I was asked for an essay stating my intent to attend, and I wrote one to tell them to F off. I never heard from them again. (Not bitter)

Thank you for the info. It may not even be most as I am just relating it to the 5 or so I know from here.

IMHO applications who have been WL'd have a decent chance of coming off of that WL.

Considered it but I've already visited. Maybe if I'm having a hard time making a decision closer to the decision date (April 1?) I'll go down again.

I think I'll make it to the one in April. I'm pretty certain Cincinnati is where I want to go, but I still want to check out the campus and the neighborhoods of Northern KY where I might want to live and meet some of my future classmates.

Did people have online status checkers? I still haven't gotten mine, despite them sending me confirmation that everything is in, and then sending in that additional addendum that they asked for.

Really would like to go to UW Madison (home state) for price and academic reasons, but Cincinnati is catching my eye.

Cincy doesn't have a checker but they are (kind of) fast after you send the extra essay.

Waitlisted.. Any idea what my chances of getting in are? Currently live in Columbus, like the in state tuition and location... :( 3.3 159.
