I wonder why they keep asking for confirmations about our interest esp. for May
I don't even know if I have enough time to move there and find housing now that it starts in almost two weeks.. I'm all the way on the west coast

yield protect - like to protect themselves from admitting more students than they can handle when they are still unsure about how many are actually going to accept their offers

Does anyone have the 2013 US News ranking data for Cardozo ? I thought I saw it somewhere but can't seem to find it. Just curious to know what their reputation scores were and what they reported for 9 months employment.

I find Law School Transparency to be a more reliable source on employment figures. Their newest data can be found here: --LinkRemoved--

Re: Cardozo 2011-2012 Cycle
I just sent in my withdraw letter to Cardozo. It was a close and agonizing choice, and I really liked how accommodating Cardozo was to my requests for more scholarship, but in the end I decided to go elsewhere Hope my seat and $42k/year goes to some lucky applicant here.

Thanks. I am familiar with LST and agree it is much more reliable (have used it throughout the application process). I am just curious how Cardozo compared with others in regards to their academic/professional reputation assessment scores. I am interested in the employment numbers for reasons other than assessing the likelihood of employment.SLim1124 wrote:josh43299 wrote:Does anyone have the 2013 US News ranking data for Cardozo ? Hmmm, I'm not entirely sure if the "law firms rank schools" or "peer assessment numbers" are what you're looking for and if you don't have access to the USNews premium sections of the rankings those may be closed to you. Cardozo ranks 67th in firms rank schools, but I don't know how to get access to the peer assessment numbers. Preliminary search renders nothing. If you do find an answer to your question, though, post it here because I'd really like to know as well.josh43299 wrote:Thanks. I was, in the last week of April. It had an exploding deadline of May 1st. Called today and asked whether I could still accept, was told no there's no money left.CLW8131 wrote:how did you hear that? and weren't you offered a full scholly?InGoodFaith wrote:Dean Martinidez says they are all out of scholarship money. Not what YP means. It refers to protection from admitting students that are likely not to accept the offer; i.e. WL or rejecting students with credentials significantly above the given school's medians.CLW8131 wrote:yield protect - like to protect themselves from admitting more students than they can handle when they are still unsure about how many are actually going to accept their offers

I can confirm this. I was notified this morning by BLS that they'd upgraded my scholly to full tuition, so naturally I emailed Dozo about it seeing if they would match or come close. At the end of the business day I received an email saying they were out of scholarship money.

I understand the 5/1 deadline, but I thought it was kind of harsh to give people less than a week to process it.InGoodFaith wrote:I was, in the last week of April. Just withdrew. Couldn't say no to full tuition at BLS.
Good luck everyone!

May program starts on Monday - why can't they just do overtime and make decisions? Its kind of ridiculous. I guess its just to dramatize the process??
Does anyone know what a weekly schedule would like for the May Program?? like how many days a week are classes? etc.

Yeah I'm in the May program. A typical week will be 4 days Monday thru Thursday. Monday class from 1:30-3:20 and Tues thru Thurs 10am-3:20. 7 actual classes each calendar week. Orientation starts at 9:30 on Monday. Hope that helps.Lapetite7 wrote:May program starts on Monday - why can't they just do overtime and make decisions? Its kind of ridiculous. Also, for other May people's information: I called a school I'm waitlisted at and they said staying on their waitlist while attending the May program at Cardozo is fine. We could still theoretically attend a waitlisted school in the Fall. Though if anyone else is doing this they should call the schools individually.

Anyone get an e-mail or anything? I thought they said they were going to send out e-mails the first week of class or something? I wonder why they haven't officially rejected us or told us the May class is full when class has already started.......
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
