Just got in ED. Went to undergrad in SD and excited to stay in the city. I heard scholarship info does not come until february at the earliest

Jeez, I feel that no matter what, I'm going to be making a LeBron-esque decision on where I ultimately choose to go to law school...mjb919 wrote:Just got in ED. Went to undergrad in SD and excited to stay in the city. I heard scholarship info does not come until february at the earliest

Just got my scholarship in the mail today. I got the Faculty Honor Scholarship for 31,000 per year. Only stipulation is a 2.0 gpa to retain the scholarship each year.

I'm in San Diego on vacation right now. Downtown in the Gaslamp. Petco right across the street. Bowl game tomorrow. What a nice city. I think I'll throw a last-minute app their way.

I'd love to live in the great city of SD, unfortunately USD is not my top choice.

Congratulations Beachbum, I'm curious on your application as I am hoping for a scholarship to USD. I saw your stats but was curious about your softs and ties to SD? Any info would be great. Im happy to PM this conversation as well.vkgarrett wrote:Beachbum89 wrote:Just got my scholarship in the mail today. I got the Faculty Honor Scholarship for 31,000 per year. USD is my top choice. Right now I plan on applying next cycle, I just got my Dec score back and was extremely disappointed with a 159. I have a 3.5, but I know I can get at least a 162. What were your guys scores, hypothetically speaking would a 3.5/160 be good enough? Thanks.

Applied yesterday to PT. Anyone else apply to the PT program? USD is my first choice since I work and live here. I really hope I get in. Now the long wait begins!

I would say give it a try this cycle with 159/3.5. You have a shot. The number of applicants are down this year, so it is likely (although not 100% sure) that the median LSAT for USD goes down too. Good luck!

3.66/161 with a 1L $18k scholarship. Non URM. Hell, I'm white and Jewish - I'm as non-URM as it gets.princeR wrote:Are you URM?llachans wrote:I applied mid-Oct with those exact numbers and was accepted. Good luck!princeR wrote: would a 3.5/160 be good enough? Thanks.

Re: University of San Diego 2015
Does anyone know if your application is supposed to say "Application Complete" when you check your app status through the USD website? Mine just says Application Received but I want to know what the next status update will be so I can stop driving myself crazy. Thanks!

Re: University of San Diego 2015
I checked LSN and it seems like the received to complete status took approx 10 days. Hopefully they will be sending out decisions soon!
Did anyone submit a diversity statement in addition to the PS? Wondering if they would accept one. Also, is everyone's requirements box blank? I'm being super paranoid.
