If you have any desire to move out of Iowa, go to Nebraska. You can get back to Iowa without much of a problem graduating from Nebraska. You can't get too far outside of Iowa's borders graduating from Drake. Thus, the big difference in the degree is the portability. Nebraska will open up a few more markets for you KC/Denver/Minneapolis, yet even these markets are not a given. If you graduate from Nebraska, expect you'll likely find employment in Lincoln / Omaha (Bellevue) / Or Grand Island.

Is this because of name recognition and Nebraska's alumni network or because of curriculum?

I'm surprised you heard so fast. Are your numbers way above median?

My numbers are average at best. 25th GPA and 75th LSAT. One of my letters of recommendation was written by a UNL Ph. D grad so that may have affected the turnaround time, but I highly doubt it. I think it may be because of fewer applicants this year. Who knows.

I went to UNL's admitted student's weekend last year it and was worthwhile. It was probably the bets one I attended overall. It gives you a good chance to meet some students, see the facilities and experience a class (a real, live class, not an artifical class put on for your benefit). The also winde you and dine you a little bit so its kinda fun.

I'm visiting the campus 12/16. I know the semester ends on the 14th but they were kind enough to agree to give me a tour on the 16th. I can certainly ask about when the decisions are coming if you guys don't hear back before then.

Well, the status checker says it could take "up to 15 business days" or something like that. Keep in mind last week was Thanksgiving Break for UNL, so I doubt much reviewing happened. Technically, since we all went in review the 17th, its only been 9 "business days".

But yea, I'm in the same boat too. Hoping to find out soon.

Up 15 days, right? That means 9 should be the sweetspot. I bet its today or monday .

All of my friends that have been accepted so far received calls around noon. They all had 75th percentile LSAT/GPA too. Not sure if that's the only way unl informs people of acceptance

Pretty sure you should get in. 1L here and I got in last year with a 3.3 and a 159. Finals start on Monday so I'm not sure if that is impacting the speed of admissions decisions. Good luck to you all.

My LSAT is right at their 25% and my GPA is significantly above their 75%.

What's the reasoning behind concealing numbers? Is it a worry that adcomms will see what you post here and it will somehow negatively affect you? No gripe, just curious.
