Sad to see you go, Shock. Where are you transferring? Also aren't you in 434k debt already? You should like, not transfer and get CU to give you some more $$$.

Some people got money off the wait list last year. Just FYI.noleknight16 wrote:Haven't heard anything yet. I'm definitely interested in CU though. Would only be able to justify the cost of a visit if accepted off the WL
Thanks for the info! It's getting pretty late in the process. Should I expect any more movement?Lord Randolph McDuff wrote:Some people got money off the wait list last year. We had at least two person get accepted the weekend before orientation last year...Lord Randolph McDuff wrote:Probably not.noleknight16 wrote:Thanks for the info! As was I, and no I applied I guess late by TLS standards but it was in early November. Additionally, I was surprised because I got into higher ranked schools that were my second and third choices with regards to CU. I currently live in Boulder and can live for free next year because of certain circumstances, so I am extremely flexible so hopefully it works out. Must of come off as just extremely boring or something.......... who knowsshock259 wrote:Hmm - I am a bit surprised that you didn't get automatically accepted with those numbers They are higher than mine (3.4/165), but I guess I ED'd as soon as the apps opened in the fall. Did you apply late? Maybe they filled the class early because of fears of dropping application numbers across the country.
And I wish I had a better answer to your question. There was certainly a handful of CU undergrads, but not tons of them. I think that would be the case anywhere, though (I'm sure some CU undergrads who go to law school don't want to go to CU, and it's clear that many people from other undergrads want to come to CU). If there is any sort of bias against its own students, I am not aware of it.
Also, as was said above, I also know of a couple of people that got in off the waitlist the weekend before orientation. Sucks, but they managed to make it out here and do just fine.
I just sent in via pdf a letter of continued interest on Friday to Kristine from admissions. Hopefully that will show them I'm legitimately interested and do the trickLord Randolph McDuff wrote:For the guy who lives in boulder with the decent numbers---
Have you sent a letter of continued interest? Go write a letter and have it proofread and revised by others 10 times. Let the last paragraph end with information about how you love CU, live in Boulder now, and would accept if you got a spot off the wait-list. (if true of course). Send it in with an updated resume of what you have been doing this summer, even if it is just bagging groceries.
CU has weird admissions but that should do the trick.
Edit-- hand deliver the letter and resume in a professional looking envelope. You live in Boulder! have a polite 25 second conversation with the admissions person you speak to with.
Sorry to hear that. Did anything change on your online status?rma wrote:Got a letter via snail mail today saying that they won't e admitting me off the waitlist.
Oh well, it was a long shot for me anyway. Looks like I will be staying in Denver this fall.
Same for me. Not sure if I want to wait and see, or just the call CU and asknoleknight16 wrote:My status says "Decision Rendered" on 7/16/12.
Sounds like I got a denial coming in the mail.
Let me know what they say on the phone if you call.Texan1989 wrote:Same for me. Not sure if I want to wait and see, or just the call CU and asknoleknight16 wrote:My status says "Decision Rendered" on 7/16/12.

So on the application status website it went from "application complete" to "decision rendered"? Cause mine is still at "application complete".noleknight16 wrote:Called them. Also denied.
So where are you going to end up? Have you made a decision?noleknight16 wrote:Yeah, there's a 2nd decision rendered with a date. I'm assuming if you didn't get that you're still on the waitlist
UF is where I'm seat deposited at. Also still waitlisted at Emory. UF is a good school and all + in state tuition... but I'm ready to move away from FL I think.ColoBoul wrote:So where are you going to end up?
