Re: CU-Boulder Applicants Class of 2015
Yeah, the consensus seems to be that CU takes a really long time to update one's status. I think a lot of schools other than CU wait for the paper copy to arrive, but none of them have taken as long as CU to complete my file.rma wrote:Sent in my app on the 10th, status checker still says my application in incomplete.
Is this normal? Can anyone comment on how long it took to go complete after sending the app?

Re: CU-Boulder Applicants Class of 2015
Hey Gang,
I was one of the ED folks rolled into regular decision. Still haven't heard anything, starting to think it might be time to just send an e-mail to the effect that I'm still very much interested, CU is still at the top of the list (true), wondering what the time frame looks like. Anyone else thinking of doing the same or already done so?

Should have included that interest in your application. Then there'd be no question of your worthinesscorvid wrote:indeedashley12 wrote:Sweet. Glock lover.corvid wrote:I've been complete since 1/3, no news
1/3 is pretty late so you might have some waiting to do but it seems the turnover rate is increasing.

Or do I mean decreasing? What is wrong with me. It's gettin' to be not so long.ashley12 wrote:Should have included that interest in your application. Then there'd be no question of your worthinesscorvid wrote:indeedashley12 wrote:Sweet. Glock lover.corvid wrote:I've been complete since 1/3, no news

Apparently they have been inundated with a ton of applications. So it will likely be a while.ashley12 wrote: 1/3 is pretty late so you might have some waiting to do but it seems the turnover rate is increasing.

My "Decision Rendered" and date just disappeared and I am back to just having "Application Complete"
I was WL back on 1/9. I wonder if this means they are starting to go through the WL? Did this happen for anybody else?

Yeah, not expecting a decision right away but one can hope. Maybe I should have joined and competed in the GSSF...then I could relate my glock enthusiasm to my app. Do you shoot?ashley12 wrote:Should have included that interest in your application. Corvid... do you have any idea what the school's stance on CCW? I'm in California and have a permit so I carry mine all the time. And it will be odd not to if CU doesn't allow it.
Thanks!

Re: CU-Boulder Applicants Class of 2015
Isnt CU where the sheriff flat out said that while concealed carry is illegal on campus, that he will do nothing to those carrying responsibly (including have a colorado license to carry)? Maybe I am mixed up. I looked it up and they have a rule about getting permission to carry, but the whole thing is sorta up in the air, though siding towards favoring legal and responsible concealed carry.CristieMD wrote:

I am amazed you have a CA ccw. That's paper gold. My state is pretty lax about it, but if I were to carry on campus and get caught, it would be an expulsion, if not something worse.
Also, decision reached

Nope! It is kind of a stretch for me anyway, but we will see what the letter says.CristieMD wrote:Hmm, I will have to contact the Sheriff's office. Im in Orange County, Ca and our sheriff is really good about issuing.

I'd honestly rather be rejected. Don't wanna play the waiting game, just want some closure. You could also be waitlisted.

Re: CU-Boulder Applicants Class of 2015
I applied toward the end of December, finally went complete last week and just had "decision rendered" status update online. I'm thinking that was WAY too quick to be an admit... Wish they would just put the decision online! Oh, and I don't have dates or deposit amounts... will update once I get the letter.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
