Oh really? I haven't seen anyone waitlisted or rejected yet so I had no idea how they send out those notifications. Hopefully it doesn't take me too long to get my letter since I'm only an hour and a half away hahah.

Nm, I was mistaken. It looks like they send waitlists by snail mail too based on last year's thread.

I say a bunch of us TLS'ers go out for a few beers after Admitted Student's Day on the 24th.

I just figured that since alcohol is to be such an integral part of law school, we might as well get ahead of the curve.

Ahhh, ok thanks for that! I was trying to go to last year's thread but I was in a rush because I had like 10 minutes to get to class when I saw my app status so I didn't have a lot of time. Well, my fingers are crossed that we both get some good news soon, I know you've been waiting a long time too.

Did you or bmili have any status change or did it go from Complete straight to decision letter mailed?

I can't go to admitted students day, or else I'd totally be down for this.

Oh, and just in case any of y'all who sent in FAFSA recently have had this happen, I got a letter in the mail from Fin Aid today saying my SSN on file was incorrect (or something, idk I'm at school and it was sent to my house so my mom read it to me) and to send in some form to verify. Well I kept calling Fin Aid and getting put on hold forever so I decided to call law admissions and they said that it's an auto thing that Fin Aid sends out for some reason to people who aren't enrolled yet but sent in a FAFSA app, and not to worry about it.

I got the FAFSA letter about a month ago, it was basically because you weren't on file since you haven't been admitted yet.

Hello All,

I'm jumping in a little late....but of those with a status of decision letter mailed recently, has anyone recieved their decision letter yet? I noticed a few of you went to that status on March 12th.

I applied on February 15th, went complete on February 22nd, and then got the "Decision Letter Mailed" on March 12th also. Still don't have anything in the mail and I have a PO Box in Columbia (figured it would arrive quickly).

Thanks!

No letter for me either, and I'm relatively close to Columbia and get mail from other parts of SC in like a day.

Congratulations! Your status went to "Decision Letter Mailed" on the 12th? And you got the letter today?

Hopefully, I'll know something pretty soon then as well.

Regarding ASD, is anyone aware of travel reimbursements?

I haven't heard anything about travel reimbursements. At least I didn't see anything in the email invite.

Just curious about the scholarship info. Did most all of you that recieved scholarship info get that in the same acceptance letter? I'm going to check the PO Box today and would think the letter should come fairly soon.

Did any of you do anything separate to apply for the merit $ or was it mostly automatic along with the application process?

Thanks!

My understanding is this: They offer an automatic 'out of state' scholarship to anyone who does not apply for residency. This counts as scholarship money towards their totals, and OOS students get in for the in-state prices. My acceptance letter indicated that the decision would be made in early March regarding merit scholarships. I'm assuming that they're running a bit late. You do not have to apply separately for merit scholarships, and they mentioned it in the acceptance letter.

Hope that helps.

So, in my letter I received today, the scholarship that was in it was called an "academic scholarship." (instate resident here so i didn't get the oos one) I'm going to guess that this is different from a merit scholarship, but idk for sure. Did anyone else get something like that in their letters?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
