You took what I said the wrong way. It doesn't really matter- fun is what you make of it. Either way, enjoy San Diego.

+10 on the sir. Just visited another school's asw and I liked uci way more when I visited... on a Friday... morning... unannounced. Everyone looked so happy to be there. And it just felt right to be on that campus. Sold.

See y'all in august.

When I had problems signing up for mine, I ended up talking to admissions about it. Basically housing told me that it was up to admissions to change my status to student. Then admissions told me "we'll get to it as soon as possible." And minutes later I was able to do it.

Also, I think since it's done manually, if you fill out the SIR today, I think you might need to wait a few extra days since it's the weekend.

Call Nazreen in financial aid...I had the same problem and she took care of it within an hour.

Yup

I'm also attending tomorrow's UCI's CUSA event: Big Data Meets Big Brother - The Political Economy of Cyberspace Controls (By Dr. Ron Deibert). I think you can infer from my avatar's name and pic that this is up my alley.

Haven't heard a word yet. I don't think housing assignments come out until May.

I was just on the UCI financial aid website, but I couldn't find anything about "view my aid award". Can you post a link?

So still couldn't find any financial aid information. I called Nazreen, she called me back leaving a message that Irvine never received my FAFSA. I definitely submitted the FAFSA since I've gotten offers from other schools, and I definitely put Irvine on there (code 001314) so I'm really confused.

Has anyone else had problems with Irvine's FAFSA?
