When did you all submit your applications? I'm stuck on 10/31 with absolutely no movement.

Not to worry, I'm still on Complete from 10/07. Coming up on two months here . . .thelawschoolproject wrote:When did you all submit your applications? I'm stuck on 10/31 with absolutely no movement.

I am still stuck on 1st committee review as of 11/21. I have no idea what it means (vs. going to 2nd committee review today) if anything. I submitted 10/29 and have been complete since 10/31 FWIW.

I submitted around the 10/26 and went complete soon thereafter, and got 1st committee review that same week everyone else did... I guess it was 11/21?
2nd committee review yesterday. Certainly doesn't have the excitement of a KB2

Just now went to Committee 2nd *Read* after changing yesterday too. Is this the wording of everyone else? I thought it was Committee 2nd Review.
Also, is this a new thing USC is trying out? I went looking in last year's USC thread and they didn't have anything there about 2nd Committee Review...

Yah, I guess it's "Read" since mine says "1st committee read" still.
And these are new, which is pretty unfortunate for us since we have no basis to what 1st/2nd read means.

Hmmm. Maybe they just updated the date, then?
Well, this time last year they started hearing about scholarships as an entree to acceptance. Here's hoping!

i suspect entree does not mean what this person thinks it means, or they intended to use another word.CaliforniaGurl wrote:Sorry, but what does that mean?addy11 wrote:Hmmm. Maybe they just updated the date, then?

Sorry, but you suspect incorrectly. CaliforniaGurl: Last year before acceptance emails went out some individuals were notified that they were invited to apply for one of USC's named scholarships. Oddly, this was not a guarantee of acceptance, but it was something like 95% of people who were invited to apply got acceptances shortly thereafter, with one or two of them waitlisted.
