I got a call this evening, too, with an invitation to apply for the John Marshall Scholarship.

First acceptance of the cycle. Yay!

I went complete on October 3rd.

I went complete on the 25th. I was also invited to apply for the John Marshall scholarship. I'm anxious to get the information in the mail.

got the call from dean rahman last night too! so excited, as it is my first acceptance of the cycle. although scholarships won't be confirmed until march, she told me that i would be looking at around $20,000/yr, and i got invited to apply for the john marshall program. congratulations everyone!

I'm also a 1L at UR and wanted to tell all of you that you should apply for the John Marshall Scholarship. It is a great opportunity financially and academically and easy to apply for. Good luck to those of you that havent heard yet, and if anyone has any questions about the school feel free to ask.

Yeah, I was happily surprised by how fast they made a decision. I'm looking forward to visiting in the spring.

Just got admitted. Sent in an application about two wks ago. Cant believe I've heard back this fast. First acceptance so I'm glad Ive started off on the right foot...

Does anyone know when those of us who have been accepted will receive acceptance letters and scholarship info? Also, are there any current students on the forum who can give any insights toward job prospects and campus life in Richmond? Any information would be appreciated.

Yea the dean of admissions called me tonight at about 9:00 pm. Again I cant believe I was accepted already. Especially since my numbers arent stellar, but she said I would be getting everything in the mail in the coming days.

I dont know much about job prospects in Richmond, buy my buddy went there for undergrad. He said its an awesome area. Beach and mountains are all within a couple hours and it doesnt get miserably cold like I'm used to. He was greek and partied a lot so he said it was a blast. Not a clue what its like for law students though. Also he says the campus is really nice.

I sent in my application on 10/21 and I emailed to confirm they recieved my payment and application and they said they had, but I still have not been sent a link to check my status. Anyone else in the same situation? Does UR not have a status checker possibly???

They don't have one. Their website says something about taking a more personal approach, and that you should feel free to call for an update.

Has anyone called them? I would like to call just to get an update on my app but I don't want to annoy them.
